Everything is bound to account except the horse. When the sets changed with the last update, I gave my level 4 alt all my legendary VR12 armor/weapons to hold for another alt.
Gear, pets, and anything else you put into your bank, can be used by your alt.

I can swap weapons, armor, food, potions between alts, but cannot swap horses.

I can swap weapons, armor, food, potions between alts, but cannot swap horses.
It doesn't bother me that much and am not clamouring for change, just want to say that actually I think the OP has a point, and if I can share armor between characters, why not horses?
If I could share horses, when would the 'Why can't I sell horses to other players?' fuss start?
Personal opinion is that weapons useage needs be leveled up to, so a newb can't use high level weapons, and horses should be bound to individual 'toons.
I break a horse, train it, feed it, care for it, trust it, I don't want someone else riding my horse. Gives 'em bad manners....
