Would you like to be able to attack Stamina/Majicka Pools?

So far all your attacks take away your opponent's health. What about special attacks, i.e a Nightblade's Headshot ability that damages majicka or maybe a Dragon Knight "Knee Jab" which takes away from Stamina Pool.
Maybe DOTs that slow down recovery rates.
Consider stam builds being on par with others.

    Well, you sort of can already. Blocking/CC breaking/rolling already drains stamina.

    Stamina and Magicka are both used to keep your health up in different ways, once you run out of those two you are likely dead in seconds.

    said skills would be pvp only, because in pve monsters use a 'rotation' instead of resource pools, so I dont see zos adding these types of skills since they would have to have pvp and pve functionallity

    These kinds of spells actually existed in previous Elder Scrolls games.

    I'd love to have some kind of magicka drain ability, but perhaps indeed they should fix the stamina builds first.

    I think the ability to suspend pools is realistic....but not damage them a such.
    Crippled doesn't effect have...just movement..so you should be suspended from movement when crippled.
    That kind of idea....although the current system is effective....sort of.

    They had mechanics like this in Star Wars Galaxies which is why I was asking. You'd have to assume other things in the game were corrected first...such as the stamina concerns. And in Vanilla WoW we used to rely on Hunters to use some ability (Scorpion Sting maybe?) to drain mana on spell casting bosses.

    Was an interesting idea anyway

    Resources are tenuous enough as it is. Reducing healing taken is essentially a tax on magic, and forcing a dodge roll to avoid death is a common occurrence.

    Here's why i say yes.

    - Drain magicka to stop fire ring and talon spamming and (this one hurts me cause I use it but also a good example) reflective scales
    - Drain Stamina to stop armor abuse of light armor wearing mages using immoveable the heavy armor skill and lethal shot spamming and silver bolt spamming

    why not? add some poisons to the game, that way, if you ever run across some person with an annoying stick, that just blocks and spams lava whip the entire time,(or other abilities) you can drain their stamina, get thru their block, and tear them apart.

    would it make stamina builds weaker? yes. But, I myself think its a good trade-off, if it gives us a way to deal with people that only block and spam.

    There are already poisons in the game that attack those pools directly. At least, it's what they're supposed to do. Not sure they actually work. The problem with potions and poisons is the so called "quick slot" which isn't quick at all if you want to swap in the middle of combat and the cooldown that every single one of them seems to have despite it saying in the description that there isn't one. Topic for another thread I think.

    Yes, with so many magica users running around, most people wil choose magica attack skills. Thus by weakening it, stanima builds naturally become better

    What's the skill that dks have where they drain all your stamina? I get tired of em charging me then they do something and bam ..... 0 stamina left and I'm dead.

    Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
    Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
    Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
    Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
    Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
    Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
    Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

    there are no poisons in the game that can be used. There is poison DAMAGE, disease damage, and MAYBE enchants, but you cant make/buy poisons that damage a specific resource pool. You can discover the effects, but you cant use it on other players.

    Whips doesn't drain stamina but flame lash (the skill i see spammed more) makes the next attack they do a life drain attack so doesn't drain stamina but does drain health. But breaking out of the talons does take a massive toll on stamina when breaking out. Why I'm working for the arena set armor in craglorn 5 pieces reduces break out cost by 40% and that's white level don't know what green or even gold stats are.
