I was under the impression that both parties in the union of Mara had to have the imperial edition and have their own rings but today I've been told in chat that this was not the case that only one person in the union had to actually have the ring to initiate a marriage. Is this true?

So I'm right then and originally both parties needed the rings? May seem silly to be asking since I'm only a Standard Edition user, but I just want to make sure I'm not steering people wrong who ask about it in zone chat.

✭You have a scroll not a ring. ONLY ONE player needs to use the SCROLL - then you both get ONE ring.
Personally, the item is crap and the only time I ever used it was for deconstructing mutual crafts with said player.
