Detection increased by 20% sets working?

Does this work? I've noticed opponents will see me at the same time. I'm presuming they're not popping a detection potion or using the same increased detection buff from one of the 3 sets which offers it.
I use it to get first attack in as an stam NB, I will be dead otherwise.

✭To be honest, detection radius is very, very tiny. So a 20% increase really means 1-2 more meters of detection, which would hardly be noticeable.0 -

Do you know what that is and how we determine it? Being a bosmer the racial passives might be me at cap.
