Trophies should be marked as quest items to save inventory space

zaxthegreyb14_ESO
I have received a number of cool trophy items from completing quests. Many have fun visual effects, but minimal to no practical use in the game as far as I can tell.

I'd like to keep these trophies around for fun, but giving up valuable inventory slots for something cool hasn't seemed worth it for me.

This could easily be solved by just marking the trophies as quest items, since quest items do not take up inventory slots.

ESO seems to have a lot of inventory pressure. Trophies add a fun element to the game (and that's good). I would like to keep my trophies, but unless I can keep them without losing valuable inventory space, I'll just keep deleting them.

What do others think?

I don't think so, but I do agree that pets and other random crap shouldn't take up bag/bank space.

I think this would be an amazing idea that way I could keep them on me at all times, and just mess around with them whenever I'd like to. At the moment they're just well useless inventory space at least imo, I know they're fun and all, but I'd rather have room for other things while I'm out and about in the game.

Heck, I tried to send my trophies to someone else just to get rid of them. Account Bound, can't even add them to the email. Throwing them away seems like such a waste. But, wasting an inventory slot is more of a waste so they get destroyed as soon as I get them. Most before I even look and see what they do.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Exactly.

Destroying them seems like such a waste. I would LIKE to keep them, and I would, if only they would sort into the Quest group and not use up my valuable inventory space.

^Speaking of which, I had some sort of severed hand that said it was a trophy, but when I went to use it, it disappeared and I have no idea if it did anything at all.

Most of the time I don't agree with peoples' complaints about inventory management in ESO. But this one...yeah, I agree. I mean, much of the time they really ARE quest items, so yeah.

Edit: Downside would be that you can't put quest items in the bank, so you'd always be carrying trophies with you, and there'd be no way to transfer them between characters (which may not be possible now, not sure).

That was a collectible, which were not dropping in the game until this latest Update. They're used for achievements, which will then unlock dye colours.

And that shouldn't be necessary in my opinion. It's essentially a hack, and hacks shouldn't be required to deal with basic elements of gameplay. Trophies are meant as a sense of achievement. They should not hurt you by taking up bag or bank space. Why not just create a separate category and have them not use space? Problem solved.

Quest items take up no space because they are mandatory.

    Trophies are not.

I like the trophies, and save most of them, but they are minor geegaws, not vital things.

I would like some way of storing them though, maybe a Trophy Bank, a special room where you can safely store your trophies, and other people can see (but not touch) them.
