I see a lot of people jumping on the bandwagon and complaining about Craglorn. The reasons vary from the difficulty is too low/high, can't find 4 people to group with, it's only good for a grinding spot, etc. I admit, I was on this bandwagon for a while, but then I had a realization that made the whole Craglorn experience better.

I started playing the quests and dungeons as a 2 man group instead of a 4 man group. This obviously won't help the people that think the content is too hard, but it helps in other ways. The content is exciting as a 2 man group. You have to play strategically and boss fights are an exciting challenge that gets your blood pumping. It is also way easier to find one other person to group with than 3 other people that want to do the same thing.

I think a lot of people are stuck on the thought that Craglorn can only be done with a 4 man group so a lot of people don't even try it. I'm here to tell you to give it a shot with 2 people. The boss fight mechanics, dungeon layouts, and quests are all much better in my opinion than most of the other content in the game. You can tell the devs put a ton of time into Craglorn and it's a shame more people aren't enjoying it.
If you like small group PvP (2-4 players) and solo PvP check out my video ;)https://youtube.com/watch?v=jechGImtFio

SPOILER: The first 40 seconds of the video contains a scene from the final Molag Bal boss fight!

Craglorn is pretty fun as a two man group. The GF and i have done many of the delves including the group challenges as a two man group and we are VR6-7. But really while we like the content we never stay very long since we never really get much out of it. Heck we ran through one of them the other day and had nothing to show but dwarven gears when we were done.

Is anything in Craglorn suitable to Solo? The game sent me there on one of my Alts, but I did not stick around much.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Never played Craggers yet, but just throwing it out there, aren't there quests that require four separate buttons to be pressed?

Content....hard? At VR12, I just soloed my first craglorn dungeon. It was challenging, and I had to be aware of my surroundings and play very actively, but it is not too hard if I can solo it. BTW, NOT an experienced mmo player here, so yeah, kinda proud of soloing it.

I think that Craglorn is the best zone in the game. The layout is good, the dungeons are different than the standard layout, and the encounters can be challenging.

If not for the phasing issues, it would be wildly popular for everyone but the solo players. Trying with less than 4 is a great suggestion from the OP.

It's been a while for me, but one I remember is the end of the main quest line, you have to have four people (in the same phase of the quest chain) activating pillars to open the final dungeon. Many of the others though I don't think require all four people, and if you are just running around for the heck of it, a two or three man group is ok.

doesn't help with the quests that force you to interact with 4 things (have 4 people in the group). That is the content I dislike.

I will agree, however, that going in there with me at VR7 and a friend at VR3 and duoing Pub Dungeons was SOOO fun. we couldn't kill some of the bosses but we got skyshards and finished most of the quests.

I wish there was a zone full of public dungeons. I could dungeon crawl all day with my friends.

Well,I havent count them but i think there is like 20 or more dungeons in crag. You have the delves and most if not all the quest send you to a grp dungeon, some with very hard boss battles (Shada's Tears im looking at you)

As you and a few others have pointed out, yes there are some points where more than 2 people are needed to progress, but in my experiences it doesn't happen very often. In fact, the only thing I have run in to so far that I couldn't do was the spell scar quest because you need 3 people to each have a elemental power at the same time.

I only got the skyshards (solo) in Craglorn. I would love to do some quests, but i could never found one on same stage (the first) so i gave up. I can only hope my wife hurries with levelling so we can give it a try. Sadly we are both no healers.

For most people it is not soloable. However, those that are really into theorycrafting builds and figure out how to get the most out of their class can manage to solo some things.

If you're higher vet and know what you're doing, a lot of things in Crag are actually fun to solo;) The only public delve there I couldn't solo was Balamath because, well, last boss. Best I could do was very barely 2manned it with a friend. Haddock's Market is insanely hard to, but possible, to solo. Everything else you just gotta carefully try for yourself;)

I was actually really surprised at Crag difficulty, for full 4 ppl team most of it is insanely easy(not counting Shada's, of course) xD

Crag certainly has its problems, but overall it's a great zone, it's obvious they really put a lot if work into it, shame most ppl just grind there.

    @Magdalina‌
Exactly my thoughts. Shada's is the only dungeon so far that my friend and I can't duo. We got to the 2nd to last boss last night and almost killed him, but got wiped. We could probably do it if we got lucky, but probably not worth trying since we most likely won't be able to duo the final boss.

Haha, a bit off topic but I strongly recommend you come back there with 4 people, you just HAVE to see that fight XD Shada's is 2-mannable til that spider boss who's skippable but Shada herself...one of hardest boss fights I've seen in game(and it really doesn't help that it doesn't count as a dungeon so armor degrades crazy fast there), also one of funest. Sort of. Gets a bit frustrating somewhere after wipe 20:P

Hmm interesting. I will probably try it with 3 people first to make it more challenging (I like a good fight), but if it is truly that hard I will get a 4th person to kill her ;)

I prefer soloing and I do not like craglorn at all. I don't want them to nerf it or anything I just want more solo content. Let those who like it go there. I wont complain about it.. It wasn't made for me.

My buddy and I are both VR12, but most of the stuff wasn't too difficult except for a couple boss fights. I think you could 2-man most of the Craglorn stuff at VR5, but it would be a little bit more of a challenge. If you are having trouble 2-manning it then give 3-manning it a try! I'm positive with 3 people at VR5 could do very well in Craglorn.

Either way you definitely don't need 4 people except for maybe Shada's Tear ;)

Just gave up trying to solo any quests here. You can get around easy enough as the only mobs that give any trouble are when you take on several archers with their "take aim" ability. It's when it comes to the bosses I hit a brick wall, but it's to be expected with group designed content.
