So once again we find out that the 'team' are doing a Q&A session on Reddit tomorrow at 2PM EDT.

Where did we find this info???? Facebook.......

So glad us here on the official forums are kept in the loop...... $:\$

Well seeing as they just posted that there will be a maintenance on reddit 4 hours before they posted it on here...uh..hmm...yeah...

Are we to take it that Reddit is the official forum for ESO as they post there a hell of a lot more than here?

i don't remember which MMO started this trend (i remember something about their forums not taking the load at the time), but i sure disagree with it..

but i don't even have a Facebook account, lol, so..
then again i fail to comprehend how it is that time is saved/social skills are honed by staying glued in the chair having facebook, gmail, hotmail, google+, skype, instagram aaand twitter all together, but i guess i am just being my usual dense self ^^

It's their own facebook page for god's sake. And probably has more active users they reach by doing it that way than they would posting it in a forum post here. I'm not saying they shouldn't post it here as well (I don't know if they did or not b/c I haven't looked at every forum, but I've seen this same complaint before when news was indeed posted here, just not in General discussion), but we need to quit crying about reddit and facebook. They are huge parts of the community, both can very well be seen as official (even reddit since the ZoS employees have unique tags to post there with) and it gets info out to the community - which we all keep asking for.

If you wanna complain they don't post something at all, depending on what type of "news" it was, I'm with you. You want to simply stand up and declare you are special b/c you made an account here instead of somewhere else and that you deserve to be told everything first, then you are on your own.

It appears that the uproar after it happened the first time was justified after all. I'm sad to see I was wrong in assuming it may have been a one-time occurence.

I'm still not angry though. I'm used to never knowing the news ever since companies started making important announcements on Facebook.

It's quite common these days. Planetside 2 uses Reddit more than thier own forums too. Guess devs have figured out forums are mostly full of disenfranchised trolls.

Sure, that's it. It couldn't be that there is another thread on the front page about the same issue (just not the exact same news) and this went around with a handful of forum posters crying before about it. God forbid they find out second about something, about anything. Get over it.

They don't have to post it on the forums, they couldn't have posted it in their news section, or even emailed it to us.

It was a simple statement. Yes it is there FB page, but what I would like to know is How are we linked to Reddit?
What is Reddit anyway and why are our Devs frequenting a site not owned/checked/moderated by Zeni employees?

Because they have communicated with the moderation team there and were comfortable with the way it's run. I'm sure if it changed or if they were not, they would not post there. I'm fine with that. Sorry you're not, but things probably aren't going to change, so keep being bitter about it.

None of these complaints or questions will be answered because we are here and not on whatever FotM forum the devs are posting on.

Maybe they'll do some AMAs on 4chan next. That would be fun.

Sorry you're salty about the issue but the fact is ZOS devs said that the behavior of posting info on reddit before the Offical Forums was to be corrected and it hasn't.

Ah, the old internet argument switcharoo.

You guys (general term, not you in particular) always cry so hard about reddit. Now their own facebook is getting added in to the complaint mix, it's just sad. It's not changing and shouldn't IMO. I'm glad to get answers from them whether it comes here or somewhere else.

Also, you are asking questions that have already been answered. Bonus: They've been answered in the official forums already.
