Thanks man. I live in the same city the NA Servers are hosted on so that does help with responsiveness. If I didn't have this much control over my abilities, swaps, CC break, and movement I would be having a really hard time, So I understand the pain you might have with just the tiniest bit of lag.

I watched this video and no lie it made me not want to play this game any more.

The abilities of the DK class are so perfectly synergized for PvP it's disgusting.

You are a great player with great videos but it sure as crap helps that you have the strongest class in the game to play.

I fight Sypher all the time and he IS one of the best DKs but he dies just like everyone else. I even saw him trying to do his dragon leap trick from a rock onto one of my keep walls yesterday and couldn't let it happen.

There are two reasons people think DKs are overpowered when they are in fact NOT overpowered.

1) They do a TON of fire damage which really kills...vampires. I swear 70% of cyrodiil is a freaking vampire and it's their own damn fault when DKs have an easy time killing them.

2) The a large portion (if not the majority) of players in cyrodiil are garbage and thus die easily. DKs ults replenish their resources and so when a DK is surrounded by garbage players they can fight endlessly as long as they can keep killing garbage players. You can see this occuring when he is fighting a decent templar and a bow NB for awhile in his last clip. It is a close fight and they are slowly wearing aware his resources when some garbage players jump in and BAM....free ultimate (bonus since they're vampires) then Banner....more free ultimate....Banner. It's a cascading effect and it's been the curse of DKs to get blamed for being OP because there are STILL people that try to fight them on top of their banner.

If players didn't just run in and die to DKs and instead fought them where they were weakest ....at range, people wouldn't think they were so powerful but if you feed a DK ultimate he is going to be a PITA to take down.

Great video again Sypher. I've never see Anonymous One actually PVP and didn't even know he was a sorc. Not surprising you gave him the business considering how he tried to fight you haha.

Thanks, and I believe it's Austin Texas for the NA servers.

I just want everyone to know that when I go against 2 or more top tier players I usually go down most of the time (if they know what they are doing). Smart players make smart decisions and know how to counter what I'm trying to do.

When players want to be a hero and try to fight me INSIDE my own standard, they automatically become Ult fodder for me. Unless they're actually skilled and know what they are doing.

I'm just glad that there are some people who can look at things from a critical thinking perspective (Ezareth). The vampire apocalypse only makes my job easier.

Another really good video from you Sypher.

As for whether or not DKs are overpowerd ... people have to learn to move & attack from range when the standard drops. I've been doing that a lot on my NB recently.

I agree with the NB comment. 1 class shield and we would be able to sustain against enemies like DKs can do on a regular basis. Good video anyways, always watch them

Did you just call Dark Cloak a "reliable" escape? Thats a load of horse****. It should wipe 4 negative effects but I quite often cloak and pop back out. It also is not wiping any slows or most other "negative" effects like it should. More often than not I just waste my magicka and die.

As Sypher mentioned they're the strongest toe to toe fighter and the distinction he made was quite accurate. I've killed most of the best DKs by keeping outside of their invasion range. Every time I try to go toe to toe with a really good DK, I die. They just do far more damage, far more efficiently than me and half my offensive abilities are reflected back to me if I use them.

I feel somehow honorbound to limit my tactics in ways I would never do in open world PVP.

I have a few but the compilation will probably be released with a future video. Some of them just take 20-30 minutes and are boring as hell to watch so not really worth uploading.

People should also keep in mind that for those of making PvP videos, we do die and most of the PVP time isn't how it seems in the videos. For every time we take on 6 people and win, we die 2 or 3 times against the same number. PVP videos are compilations of the best footage, not good examples of how it always is for a class/player. I think sometimes people see this and think the player is just constantly mowing people down left and right without ever seeing the underside of a forward camp.

OK. if you could put up a video showing how you deal with a DK, and you kill him with your NB with a bow, i would say you are awesome. (decent DK not the ones who dont even know what to do)

Maybe DK and Templars arent OP, but one is sure: NB sux. someone mentioned cloak... 2.9s invisibility....mehh its broken, doesnt work.
They all just charge and spam you while they can heal themself, and you just have a broken cloak, a bugged swallowsoul. No shield, no selfheal, nothing.

The standard takes ~25% your health before you can roll out of it, and you just cant heal at all. cloak fails, he reflects, charging you and continue to whip your a$$.
Templar? Many times happend: get him down 10%. he heals to full and blazing. again down to 10%, he repeats, 100% and blazingshield. ok another time get him down low, he heals again to 100%, until no magicka and stamina for me, then i fire ultimate 2.6k dmg. he is low health, heals up to 100%... ok gtfo? cloak....fail...cloak...fail no magicka, no stamina... bye ESO....
Another time a templar just spammed heal and shield forever (was 10+ for sure in a row). at least, since you cannot see the resources of the enemy, looked like he could just spam it forever.
If anyone say, this is ballanced, and this is how fighting should be etc... i just feel sorry for those clowns.

Many in Sorcs in legend who defeat DK's and give me a run for my money. Without kiting as well.

Yeah that's the one 1 v1 matchup where streak > ball lightning to me.

When I fight a DK at range I get knocked down constantly despite holding block before I'm hit. Probably delay before my block registers, but it still runs me out of stamina too fast.

Ah, yeah I always figured that strategy would end in a stalemate. I haven't really tried it, at least not for that amount of time. I've beaten DK's, but not 1v1 vs someone I consider good. There haven't been that many opportunities though either. (takes too long)

I kindly disagree. Sometimes you go around looking for good fights, sometimes you're looking to farm AP and get loads of kills. You're entitled to both styles of play whenever it suits your mood and oil is great for the latter.

What I also like is the ability to wipe zergballs with oil in a little room near keep breaches. While we mostly get Frag Shield to death when we try this, my little 5-man group managed to stop and wipe a full 24 man raid the other day with 3 oils, cinder storms, talons, negates and a healer keeping us up

Cheap? Maybe, but immensely satisfying and isn't running in a group of 20+ with DKs spamming Frag Shields and Sorcs Streaking and Bat Swarming even cheaper?

I have 5 characters, 1 of each class and my main. Trust me, when you enter veteran dungeons and face nothing but waves and waves of 8+ mobs that cast spells, heal, fire arrows, come charging at you, kind of need the dragon night to get in there, deal massive aoe and single target damage and stay in there.

DKs are the only warriors class in the game, everything they do is melee range and bringing enemies closer to you, locking them down etc. Mind you DKs got nerfed around 6 times so far and they are still doing a good job.

The DKs biggest problem is range, if you keep range on a DK (generally speaking), the DK will either charge or pull you. So you know his "weakness" is range (talking about class skills only).

Sypher? Are you the Sypher from the Tamriel Foundry forums? My main class VR12 DK is based from you'r Oblivion battle mage!

Please re-read Dark Cloak's tool tip. It does not wipe 4 negative effects; it removes 4 damage over time effects. That's why it doesn't remove slows or other non-DoT effects.

That's not to say that it isn't buggy and that sometime it will break for no damn reason, but that's a separate matter from what you wrote about.

Sypher is by far one of the top 5 players. I have had the undistinct pleasure of fighting against him several times and I swear this guy is tougher then the AD emperor was to bring down.

It's not all DK's just him so it's not the class. I also know that there are some really smart sorcerers out there that use their range and resource management tools that can give Sypher a lot of trouble.

Sypher and his intelligent play does not make the class OP it just makes him super good and a tough sob to bring down....I tip my hat to you Sypher and I enjoy running into you on the field as it makes me a little better each time.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound like this is going to come across, but it's a DK video like every other DK video, a guy runs around restoring the health he just lost with a click of a button and lashing people unable to fight back.

I'm not saying it's not a great video, or that you're not a great player.
