I think NB's are fine in PvP, and I do more than alright with my tanky build.
However, I think for most NB builds to function in PvP, they NEED to fix Dark Cloak. I mean, it is our primary survival ability... and when it fails to work, it bones us over hard. it's like if a DK popped Green dragon blood and it just returned 3% health instead of 30% because he had a dot on his target.... Or a Templar couldn't use his sun shield because of a bug or it fell of early. I wonder how well those two classes would do without those skills?
I have to say though... what it sounds like to me is that you are basically saying
"Use the optimal weapons/light armor, and you will do fine". Which might be helpful.. but that is not the solution most players want to hear when they ask for advice on how to improve in pvp. Bow/DW actually does fine right now too, you just need to have more skill and be much more aware of your surroundings... so yeah I'm not sure why people would still say NB's are underpowered.
NBs have a niche, but it is a very limited niche. They are good at surprise attacks 1v1.
Their sustained dps is not on par, and they have few working survivability options (Cloak rarely works and Blur is a joke).
In most scenarios, another class is a better option.

I am not saying NBs are broken, but in most scenarios, another class is a better option.
This is just flat out wrong. NB is one of the highest in sustained dps, at least on a single target basis.Their sustained dps is not on par
Put on light armor and just spam healing wards and harness magicka.few working survivability options (Cloak rarely works and Blur is a joke).

It has nothing to do with viability, I manage. But some of the core skills are barely functioning, if at all. Whether or not I do all right without them, it's because I've figured out work arounds. And that is not acceptable.

When you try to be constructive on the forums people just dont want to listen because everyone expect the game to be easy for them and hard for everyone else

you have a v1 alt nightblade. Nightblade is a vacation for you. I play almost exclusively as one.
You're not being constructive, you are just ignoring the problems plaguing the class.
I don't mind that people are more powerful than me, there are always going to be those people. that there are more powerful builds or unbalanced combos, that will always be the case,
I just want my skills to work.
I don't care what story you want to share as part of your fireside chat. None of that makes my dark cloak actually function on the level it should.

I asked in the OP if you thought a NB was bad at something to tell me and I can show you a way to do it or fight against it. you have done neither so I have nothing to try to help you with. NBs still have a few problems with class abilities not working but other than those, which i stated in the OP were not to be included, they are viable in every role in ESO. if you want me to show you how ask me to clarify in a specific area

I don't need your help. I'm not asking for help because I know how to be viable as a nightblade, and as the poster above said, it's not generally with nightblade abilities.
I will repeat it again, it has nothing to do with viability, and everything to do with wanting my abilities to actually work.
Fixed for ya. Don't want to start a flame war, but sword and shield gives invincibility with all the damage reduction and the possibility to cast instant spell while blocking... To any class actually. But not everyone wants to use them, it isn't fair that a particular weapon is a lot more effective than the others.
they are too stubborn to change the "precious build my NB has to play" *cough cough* the bow/DW NBs

When I picked a class I went for the one that "relies on blades and speed" (official description). I always played physical damage dealers, that's how I have fun. I pay the same subscription fee as you do, why can't I have fun? Why do I have to take it for granted that I need to "change the precious build" of mine in order to be on par with others?
No, I want to play the way I like so of course I want my class synergy with weapons buffed.
Or they should change class descriptions and write explicitly that NB is a class that is good with staves only not to misguide players. And give me (and other misguided players) an opportunity to reroll my class so that I can play the way I like. The class system like that is stupid, they keep saying that every class can do all things and even say that some classes are better in certain things. Well, I picked the only class that wasn't described as a mage. Now in endgame I am no longer having fun.
And you and some people like you keep saying that I need to use my class in a certain way to have fun? WTF? Sure, if NB in stamina builds were OP, I would say the same to people who would try to play it as a mage. But things are different. And I challenge you to prove that my class's synergy with weapons doesn't need to be buffed.
Craft a staff using the Altmer motif. Then, pretend that it's a spear or a glaive. There, problem solved.jelliedsoup wrote: »I'm too stubborn, I have entertained the idea of a sword/shield, but never a staff.
I will quit the game before I use a staff.
