Questing as a Group

Hi,

My wife and I started playing ESO a week ago, and we quickly realised that theres a very very annoying thing: We have to do all quests twice.

Here's what I mean.
We create a party. I invite my wife and we start questing. A few hours ago, we made the quest on Khenartis Roost where we have to help Hazak to kill his father. Well... while I ran through and killed Hazaks father, my wife was with me and helped me killing him. Aftewrwards I could finish the quest, while my wife had to wait for Hazaks father to respawn so she could kill him.

Same with the quest in the castle on the east of the Island. You have to defeat an ancient Wizard and blah... and we have to do EVERYTHING twice....

Will this be fixed? Or is this a "Deal with it" feature of ESO?

Fortunately, for the most part, anyone on the same stage of the quest gets credit for the stage completion. I'm suprised that there are some quests (other than main story line quests which have to be solo'ed) where that isn't the case. Normally you don't even have to be in the same group.

I shared the Quest with my wife and I said, you go north and break the seal, I go south. In the end we had to break both seals twice. Thats what dissapoints me a bit. (Playing on the EU Server with EU Client. Which is ale damn strange. Why do I have to download the whole client TWICE to play on the NA and EU Servers?)

I can't answer for the server question, but with regards to the quest, it might be that you need to be in the same approximate area in order to get the stage completion, whether or not you are in a group. That may or may not be correct, but it seems likely to me.

Whether or not that should be the case is a different question over which I have some reservations...

We were in a the same party, same level, we were standing next to each other.

I thought you initially split up to break the seals?

I accepted the quest. Then I shared the quest. Then we both had to break the seals. Then we split up to break the seals.

We had to break both seals twice. OK, strange bit if we need to be together...
Later you have to "destroy the bone-things to break the ritual. You have 4 Bone-things you have to break. We had to break 8 of them til everyone of us had the quest finished. And this area is very small. So I don't think we were too far away of each other.

Well, not having been there and not remembering the area, that's my only guess. For the most part, though, quests are completable as a group by only having to do each stage once.
