Knowing What You Know Now Would You Still Want to Buy This Game?

Yes. Even with the bugs it still is better than anything else out there. EQ didn't really hit its stride until its fourth or fifth year. Eve online the same. Mmos always start off rough and it takes some serious expansions to build them up.

Of course in this forum this topic is gonna be a biased topic.

The game is not enought TES. It is just a random mmo with TES skin. Is gonna hurt the TES franchise I think.

It won't, and haven't you repeatedly stated that you're leaving the game? You've popped up once a month to complain about the game not being enough like the single-player series, threaten to quit, and then a month later, you're back again.

This was never going to be exactly like the single-player series. It can't be, and it shouldn't be.

As you may remember I still having pending days from my sub. Anyway I think you will unsub too in some time. It is just that you are not seeing this game as it really is. You just need time and think and accept the reality.

*Your* reality. My reality is that I just hit VR4 and am still having a blast, having been playing since the beta. Do I love everything about it? No. Of course not. Nothing is perfect.

But to those that say that it's not enough like the single player games . . . It was never going to be Skyrim/Morrowind/Oblivion with co-op. I've played every ES title (not that it means a damn thing) and I'm as addicted to this as I have been to each and every other iteration of the ES series. I see ES in every corner of the game. Just because you can't loot everything that isn't nailed down or kill NPC's (that's coming!) Dark Brotherhood? Thieves Guild? All coming. Spellcrafting? Coming.

Reality is a matter of perspective :)

I toughed it out through a broken, unplayable stress test beta and a horrific launch. The current game is a walk in the park in comparison to what I knew back then.

The game's still rough, but it's on its very slow way upwards towards greatness. Or at least goodness.

Its a great game, its provided me with months worth of entertainment. I'm experiencing a bit of burn out though (leveled to VR2 on a Nightblade, rolled a sorc on another alliance, he is VR8 now). I've explored all the alliance content areas except for trials and parts of craglorn. Still don't have a VR12, been playing since beta and early Access. participated in limited PVP, maybe a few hours worth over my entire play time.

The biggest thing i didn't expect was the lack of MMO-ness. Sure you see other people, you CAN (but usually don't) party with players, you CAN (but usually don't) do group quests, phasing is still horrendous when partnering with someone just to level. Very Solo-Oriented, which to me is strange, being an MMO fan from way back when.

ZOS is attempting to correct this, but the community is already damaged. people still scream for more solo content, even though they just did 50 levels and 12 vet ranks worth of solo stuff. Grouping is painful because most players don't want to do it.

I think people need to reevaluate why they are playing $15 a month for an MMO if they don't want to do group content :)

Its funny to see people here saying how others should reevaluate, or how they say you are wrong just because you see the reality of the game. Pete Hines said some words just the other day that caused thousands of people to laugh at it. More or less the same happens with this forum. Problem is that people inside this forum thinks the world about ESO is just what happens in this forum having some fanboys not really knowing how this game should be, if you take into account that Elder Scrolls appears in the name.

Then you go to the whole internet and people that really have an opinion and are not just being fanboys, know that this game is going the wrong path. If it was another random mmo without ES name on it, it would be just another bad mmo out there. The only think making the game to continue with some people subbed is the Elder Scrolls name, not the game itself. But that just last for some months, because when people starts to really see this is not an Elder Scrolls game, they leave.

Anyway, by now, 15% of people regretting of buying the game, and being this topic in the official forum I think is just...really bad for ESO. And more if you have in mind that the vast majority of the ones that voted yes are just random mmo players, that will leave in some months and are not elder scrolls fan. Of course there will be some of them, but not the majority. Then you have others that dont want to see they just wasted a bit of money.

I am forced to say "no"

Because I am starting to believe I am playing this game for what I THINK it is... or what I HOPE it will become...

It's very possible that I'm deluding myself completely and not actually aware of what it REALLY is.

Dn't worry. It is better that you face the "problem". In fact, it is not your problem. The problem was what they said the game was going to be. As you know, just Bethesda knows how to handle TES universe. But they (the forum fanboys, ZOS GM staff (you know they have a work here and have to live just like you and me and it is normal they behave that way) will tell you that you are wrong, anyway you will read ELDER SCROLLS on the box of this game, but they will continue telling you "nononono, do not think this game as another TES game". " you have to reevaluate your thoughts"...ad infinitum.

So, just wait and see. The best thing can happen is that the game won't hurt TES franchise. I really think Beteshda, the best company out there, should go their way without Zenimax. But I guess it is impossible.

Believe it or not, I payed for another sub because I just wanted to help TES universe, not because I agree with this game. I think that a failure from this game will cause TES franchise a lot of pain maybe. Or maybe it will be the contrary, I really don't know.

Yes. The current Craglorn+ "end game" is not worth a penny to me but the level up was fantastic, the story compelling, the voice acting good enough, the fights mostly fun.

So, even if now I'd have to consider ESO "over", the journey was well worth the money.

It does. Have u ever make a mistake and you just can carry on because you think it is the best thing you can do? That does not mean that you would do it again.when i resubbed i just thought the game would need a second chance for me because i said to me that you cant "abandon" a tes universe based game. Maybe its silly for you but not for me. And dont worry, soon you won't read my words around here. You will read another kind of statements, official ones, that will make you remember that maybe,in that era when that doomsayers were blaming in the forum, there was time to solve the whole thing about ESO.
