Not doing any damage?

Not sure what happened in the last week, but I am having a lot of trouble in PvP and wondering if others are having the same issues.

First and foremost, I am noticing, in a lot of cases, I cannot do any damage to another play. I am VR9, with VR8 purple weapon, full VR 6 blue sets with added spell damage etc. I am coming across VR10s up to VR12s that, literally, take no damage at all. I cannot even put a dent in their health. I have never had this issue before until this week.

I know this isn't the skill section, but I am a templar, and I am wondering if blazing shield was "fixed" or nerfed because it does almost no damage at all either. I was not one of those people that were getting 3k hits either, but I could at least see blazing shield put a little dent in their health when it went off.

I noticed it in cyrodiil vs guards. Zero damage, as far as i remember, with light or heavy attacks.

I think NPCs have shields now too. I noticed that for the first time this week not sure when it happened. Has anyone else seen that or am I just seeing things.

Yep, I noticed an NPC casting a shield on himself as well. Probably buffing the NPCs because more and more people are VR 12 and VR 14 is coming soon. I am fairly new at PvP though, so I just assumed I had just never noticed it before.

Regardless, PvP is an absolute mess right now, and it doesn't take a seasoned PvPer to realize this.

I figured out how they are doing this. They are sorcerers stacking up 3 shields and keeping mustagen/rapid regen to stay topped off in between the shields coming down. Just found a video on this.

I haven't noticed that yet. The Sorcerer(s) I have noticed were not in mistform. I just know I activated Invasion, reflective light, puncturing sweep, and hit him with a couple from another puncturing sweep, then he began escaping. At this point, he started casting something, but couldn't tell what it was, and I charged him again and started the rotation over. By this point, he literally hot not lost any health at all. It's not like he was healing the health back either, it just never left full. This happened a few times through out the night.

Just fought VR5 and a VR8 had them stuck in my standard for almost full duration plus talons and lava whip and their health isnt moving. I check damage log, standard was hitting one for 15 every pulse one for 3 every pulse.

I certainly give people points for creativity, but I am also concerned about things that are also broken and not working as they should. For intance, as I stated earlier, my breath of life should be healing for 700+ and it was healing for 100 without any debuffs on me. PvP is just such a circus right now.

PvP is a circus right now. You got that right, @Troponin.

They might as well change the ambient music in Cyrodiil.

I think I'll just play this every night when I'm out there and maybe it won't be so painful.

They won't appear in mistform, that's the exploit. The way you can be 100% certain a player is using the exploit is to look at your combat text when you hit them and it displays 1/4 of the damage you normally do. I laid down 7k worth of damage on a vr 4 Templar using this with 2k hitpoints and no shield and she survived through it.I have it all on video yet Zenimax has no interest in acknowledging the issue.

Are you sure is a Mistform exploit?
AFAIK, it could be anything - from Mundus stacking, to bonus sets stacking, to god knows what.

I've not been able to find any sets that would give the mitigation i'm seeing...and they're the people I see running this are Vampires.. so i'm thinking it has to do with Mistform as well.

I'm 100% positive it's the Mistform exploit as I know how the exploit is done (roughly since I'm not a vampire).

Here is the video of the templar in question I just uploaded.

The damage I do to them works out to roughly 1/3 of damage taken when they're full health and even less when they're lower due to undeath.

I'm almost certain the bonus +9% damage we get to players is Additive with mistform reduction which explains why they don't take even less damage. For whatever reason when it comes to math in ESO *everything* is freaking additive.

This is ridiculous. You are not even scratching him and he doesn't have any shields up.
But, seems to me the silly mitigation only works when he is full (or close to full) Health, at some point his health drops like crazy, and not even Mist Form saves him.

Yes but don't forget he only has 2K hitpoints and ZERO impenetrable. I'm critting this guy 50% and my crits on vampires normally are 1200 for Fragments, 900 for Curse and 370 for Mages wrath. Even 2/3 mitigation on a player that is basically just standing there will not save you.

Notice how his shields take reduced damage as well (even considering the normal -50% spell damage of harness magicka) when you consider the amount of damage I'm doing to them.

that was something new. Not even the ridiculous block system mitigates that much damage. heck WITHOUT a critical hit, your crystal fragments should have taken more than 0.00001% of that players health. Something is up.

Hell I'd just be happy to see player bans. I guarantee there are more people who have quit over these kinds of exploits than are using them.

If you mean the shields they get when seige is used on them, they've always been there.
