It's a bit late in the day, as I'm now VT4, but what's the best way to get screen shots for ESO? Is it just a case of using the Windows PrtScr key or does ESO have a built in mechanism?

Print Screen button is the easiest and quickest method. I don't think there is another one.. But you may wish to toggle the UI on and off depending on what type of screenshots you are taking. You can do that in the controls menu.
Far too many characters to list any more.

If you use print screen, it should save your screenshots to the screenshots folder which can be found in the live folder, which can be found in your Elder Scrolls Online folder.

There's a built in mechanism, press F13 by default (hopefully you've got an F13 key)

Print screen will auto save a screenshot in .PNG format to your screenshots folder located in.

    C:\Users\(Your username)\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\Live\Screenshots

In the settings for key bindings you can assign a key to turn the UI on and off.

Print Screen button plus you can bind the key for turning UI off and on and there you go to feel like Japanese tourist B)
I personally got whole album of amazing pictures from Tamriel since Coldharbour prison.
By the way, at some point they have changed screenshots format from .bmp to .png which saves lots of storage space.

Thought the default format is .BMP unless changed in the settings file. Might be that they have changed the default too already. Personally I had to go and change that myself as .BMP are huge.
