How long does it take to reach PvP rank 50(grand overlord)?

rank 50 would probably take ~150 days played is my guess. you would have to ask the nomercy/alacrity guys to know for sure, theyre the guys that average the most ap an hour

they do need to lower the amount of points it takes to reach PvP ranks. the huge difference in getting from recruit grade 3 to tyro, then from tyro to tyro grade one, is a bit much. not everyone has the time to play the game 20 hours a day to get thru these ranks.

If you are a V12 player with decent gear, it won't take any time at all to get from recruit to tyro... or even citizen (no rank) to Corporal!

having to get about 5,000 points to get to the next rank, then have it jump up to 40,000 to get the next next rank is.... odd:/

Oh wait - you're EP on chill NM - sorry for your pain. Only AP you get is from running scout quests and keep takes - you never actually kill anyone when the players get on to fight.

I have not played chiil in almost 2 months!:D in fact, I only got on my VR12 to put some stuff in the bank. iv been in the non-vet the past however long its been out:) please know what you are talking about before acting like a know it all. but dont worry, ill be on the new 30 day when it arrives(with my VR12) you can talk all the crap you want then:)
oh. and also, learn what a troll actually is. Seems many people don't know what it really is(and no, I don't mean the one sunder the bridge)

reaching the 8th rank in a 50 rank system should not take as long as it does in this game in my opinion.

I'm 1/2 of the way to rank 10, and have less than 5 days /played. I would hope that the highest rank in PvP would take close to 100 days played. It shouldn't be a quick and easy thing that people can grind out in a month. It's good for the longevity of the game to have long term goals like this in place for people to go after.

im not saying reach level 50 in a month. I just think it could be a LITTLE bit faster. not much, just a little

A guildmate of mine has mentioned that some friends of hers are in their 30s and 40s rank wise.

I just hit sergeant, but they still seem to come fairly fast for me.

I don't even know what number sergeant is.

I look forward to killing a grand overlord too. Probably by getting one hit off in a team of hits or healing someone doing that.

Would LOVE to kill an acting emperor for that achievement too. I never see any of them though. Anonymous-One spends a lot of time as emp, but obv he's on my side. But when blue or red gets emp, they are never there.

it should be a little bit faster, just because of how much faster it was for all the people who played the first half of the initial campaign back when pop caps were nearly twice as high, and people were ignorant of oil and bats. back then people could almost twice the amount of AP compared to what people can get per day

A player can average 25k AP per hour. Higher ranks require millions of AP to advance. Getting to 50 will take a long, long time, and this is a good thing. It is literally the hardest to obtain achievement in the game currently.

I have killed ONE emp. it was me and another player, this was back when all the NPCs were lvl 50, and when all the "elite" guilds were impulse traning thru everything. the emp charged the keep flag, and started AOEing the NPCs, but me and my teammates disoriented him, and finished him. I have yet to beat an emp in a 1v1, and I doubt I ever will.

it will be fun to kill a grand overlord. will be a nice change of pace from the usual "former(or farmer however you know it) emperor/ress title you see above almost everyones heads.
