Is ZOS actually aware of the size of problem pop balance is causing?

Here are some image links from Thornblade US this morning:

What the actual crap are ZOS doing about this?

EDIT: With the imperial city on the horizon, I'm actually scared to death that I'm not going to be able to play it unless I make an alt on AD (US).

I think no one cares anymore after realizing that it is the graveyard shift that wins campaigns. Anyway, now, in prime time DC is at 1 bar, EP at 2, and AD is pop locked. AD owns all but one keep.

It looks like a lot of DC moved to Chillrend NA as DC is currently locked there and owns the entire map. AD and EP are both two bar pops right now on Chillrend NA.

It is 8:30 PM Eastern time in NA and DC is at a single bar on Thornblade. It would appear that between the AD dominance for 20-21 hours every day and the very disappointing campaign rewards that were emailed today, one faction has abandoned the Alpha campaign as DC is currently locked on Chillrend. EP is not much better, as they are three bars on Thornblade while also being locked on Chillrend.

ZOS does not have time to wait. This is pretty much approaching crisis mode as actions or changes are needed immediately.

If ZOS doesn't do something about a problem that has been constant since THE FIRST CYRODIIL BETA this is exactly what will continue to happen.

I COULD type out my speech about why I only play in the non-vet campaign nowadays... but im pretty sure we all know what I would say.

lets hope the new 30 day coming soon is better. All those AD guilds have hedarus and thornblade, they can stay out of the new 30 day that is coming.

Unless ZOS starts randomly selecting your campaign for you, OR starts controlling skewed populations in another way, you can be sure the human condition will always move the majority to the winning place.

I mean who doesnt love to sit at a gate and take potshots at level 10s. Good times, I logged out, I am bored.

Could always play Chillrend, but the lag there tonight has been real, good defense at Faregyl though, @ 8 fps almost the whole time.

There is literally nowhere to go that isnt completely one sided right now except the non vet campaign, and that is starting to get pretty screwed up by an obvious alliance swapping guild that stacks the faction they want emp on with all their new lowbies.

Getting kinda dumb now. There isnt even anywhere to GUEST anymore. Its either poplocked AD or poplocked DC/EP with no AD presence.

I miss dawnbreaker. You should have never taken away dawnbreaker.

Dawnbreaker was only interesting during the second campaign. The first 90 days a bunch of major guilds rolled AD and pop locked it into Oblivion. (I imagine this is why their is still a glut of AD players in PvP to this day.) If Dawnbreaker was still up, they would have ruined it eventually like they did all the other campaigns.

Players are unwilling to balance campaigns themselves. It almost seems like ZOS may eventually have to take the choice out of player hands unless they can think of a way to lure players to the under popped sides.

When I played WoW I noticed something about balancing. This is a generalization, but for the most part it seemed the Horde absolutely dominated random battlegrounds during the evening/night time. What I suspect is the type of person who is inclined to play on the 'bad' guy team is more likely to be on at night. The reason I say this is there would always come a time, usually at around 6:00 in the morning when all the 'good' guys would wake up and have their coffee, and the Alliance would suddenly become much more of a challenge.

The unfortunate difference is in a battleground this would only matter for about ten minutes and then it was over, where here it's the same people doing the same things at the same times, and it's causing major imbalance.

It's the system itself which gives way to trollish behavior. I had this crazy idea that there could be a server where major guilds from each faction could agree to not take the home keeps of another faction unless that faction was out of line. Similarly the guilds would not support their allies in hording the map, in that if one faction pushes the other two out it degrades the game for everyone involved.

I know, I know. This will never work, right? People are too selfish and given the opportunity they would rather make enemy players hate them for the lols than learn to share.

Given that is the case, I may very well be moving on to a game which does not allow players themselves to ruin the experience for everyone else.

And pray-tell what MMO are you thinking is going to be the answer to this question? I don't think leaving is the answer, I think repeatedly telling ZOS until something is fixed is the answer!

So Archeage is p2w with a great cash shop (that won't create any of the problems you're talking about) and we might see a beta for EQ Next by this time next year.....

    I don't think you've thought this through...
