Coming back from a hiatus, and I got some questions.

Hey guys - I'm just now logging in after a 3 month vacation :P Honestly, I got burned out on the game. I got to VR2 on my main, got both a vampire and werewolf character, and created a pretty cool guild (that I later handed over to a good friend).

I was keeping tabs on ESO since I left, and noticed quite a few updates. I've got to say the dye system is great, but I still am hoping for a transmog feature in the future...

However, I have some questions before I commit again.

- How is the population of the game? Low level zones, to high level zones. It seems like it's in sharp decline :( Also, why is there only ONE campaign left? :( Not a great sign. Am I missing something?

- How is that silly Werewolf/Vampire economy. Not that I really care, but it was a hoot making werewolf/vampire guilds, going on hunts, and tracking people down to bite toons. Have they changed the mechanics of this at all?

-How is grouping so far? Is the grouping tool still relatively fast?

- How is Cyrodiil? Populated or ghost town.

- Any updates on Dark Brotherhood/Thieves Guild yet? Prob. one of my biggest disappointments this year was finding out they wouldn't make it into launch :(

The Population in the Leveling Zones is robust, the VR Zones under Caldwells Silver/Gold a bit spotty. Was hard to find people to do Dolmens with in Shadowfen.

Grouping is still best with LFG Zone Chats.

Won't talk about PvP as I don't do that.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Population 1-50 is still higher populated but people are finally leaking into the vet zones and Craglorn. I guess it depends on who you ask. People who play the game see tons of people and a healthy thriving population, people who don't play see it as a ghost town. The PVP has been sectioned up into 7, 14, 30 days and then special events of vet and non vet. So thats actually 5 campaigns. Population on those is still just as hit and miss.

Grouping is still better with zone chat but I have used the group tool successfully.

More Vamps than Werewolves but they just announced some new werewolf fixes coming up in a future game update.

Dark Brotherhood and thieves still waiting until after the justice system which isn't done yet. But within the next 6 months we should have all of that.

Population isn't an issue. Its longevity for players that may be lacking. i have 2 vet characters in different factions, and have completed each factions area mutliple times. I'm not VR12 yet on any character, and I'm already kinda bored.

There needs to be more MMO in this RPG. I need fun group content (not trials, vet dungeons and challenges on that level) to continue.

I PVP a bit, but not on a normal basis, and probably only have 4 or so hours under my belt. Its ok, nothing stellar, all the keeps look the same :(
I thought me and 2 friends would go do Craglorn, but NOPE. Must have a 4 man group because there are artificial gates (like 4 players have to interact with something at once) to keep you from completing some of the quest. We were not impressed. It was either that, or keep solo grinding (or "questing") through our alliance zones.
More incentive to do Vet-Dungeons more than once would be nice too. I love good dungeon crawls.
Phasing is horrendous, and makes leveling together through zones pretty difficult unless yall are on the same step the whole time.

improvements to skills, items and mobs/bosses have taken place, but the game is still what it was before.

I can't remember exactly where things were at 3 months ago. There have been some ups and downs on the topics you asked but I think ESO is in a good place right now compared to be where it has been.

    (NA server)
-Population has been really good last month or so. Dyes and kiosks may have helped that. Some cities really seem to bustling which is cool. Vet level areas have a better population than they did. I suppose that's because of the nerfed difficulty.

-Population in Cyrodiil is good since they limited the number of campaigns and duration (there's more than one ya know).

-WW/Vamps can't say since I only kill them ;) (batsworm is a fav in PvP again).

The answers you will get are going to be colored alot by weather or not they're having fun in game. Kieso jsust isn't apparently and answers according to his/her opinion. Some of the others much more positive.

I'm happy with the state of things and hope to see continued improvements. The best thing I've seen recently is doing up another alt and seeing a bustling newbie zone. Yes, some are alts, but you can tell from zone chat there is still alot of new people trying out the game and that's a good thing. At the same time you hear the complaints of my guild is gone and its just me so there I'm sure there are losses as well as the gains.. But overall populations seems to be good.

Hey guys - I'm just now logging in after a 3 month vacation :P Honestly, I got burned out on the game.

Considering the release date for this game was April 4th, 2014 and it's now September 2nd, 2014...and you hit max level in a month....no wonder you got "burnt out".

I've been playing since early access and STILL haven't hit VR content.

Guess there's advantages to not being a content locust.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

The low levels are pretty decent population. There are 5 campaigns, yes you are missing something as each is sorted into it's own group.

There is no longer an economy selling bites, at least none I've heard about. There are a ton of Vampires in PvP.

    Grouping hasn't improved too much.

The 30day and 14 day campaigns will pop lock for each faction at various points, AD most of the time on the 30day. 7 day is a ghost town AD buff server, and the Vet campaign isn't too active from what I hear. Non Vet is low pop but still pretty active during prime time at least. Think 20 vs 20 fights rather than the massive zergs on the other campaigns.

No Dark brotherhood or Thieves guild yet.

I'm having loads of fun. I don't get to play much, so I only have on char at VR4 and I am halfway through my second faction. I like the player density in the vet zones much more than the overcrowded leveling zones (I started when the game first came out), so I am happy.

If I keep playing at this rate, ZOS will probably create content faster than I can play through it.

You took a 3 month break from a four month old game...lol

Sorry but I'm thinking you either blasted your way through story/content or exploited yourself to max level. If that's the case (and its only my assumption) then there really isn't anything yet that will keep you engaged for longer than another month !
The game has undergone some substantial changes and it actually much improved than it's released version. The next update (due anytime now) is a biggie and is adding some great stuff, certainly the arena is to be looked at.
Also, we recently got the dye system which added some much needed visual fluff to the game.
I'd definitely say come back and take another look, but in your case I wouldn't recommend you sub for anything longer than a month again.

Anyway, look forward to seeing you in-game and I'm sure we can have this conversation again in another quarter year

    ;)

Join an active guild that is doing trials, get into vet dungeons with guildies and even do some PvP .

This game is awesome at end game if your in a good guild.
