Immovable is broken and needs to be fixed.

Is anyone going to talk about, or even realize that, Immovable is bugged and being so is completely game breaking and needs to be fixed as soon as possible? The tool tip reads that it grants Immunity to knockback and disabling effects for the duration. As far as I'm aware Negate Magic, the main skill that's being abused due to Immovable being bugged, causes a disabling effect and Immovable being on before the Negate drop does is not granting immunity to it's effect nor is it allowing it to be used once inside the bubble to negate the effect.

It's allowing Sorc's to Silence players with Negate Magic no recourse. This is letting large coordinated groups run 75% Sorc groups all dropping Negate Magic and completely steam rolling other large coordinated groups solely because they are Sorcs with Negate magic and the other group is not Sorcs with Negate Magic.

If this doesn't get fixed, the meta for AvA groups in this game is going to shift hard to Sorc heavy groups dropping Negate until the entire server, in terms of coordinated PvP groups, are Sorcs with Negate Magic because Immovable is not working as intended.

    Strange, I use it all the time and I don't have issues. In fact ive noticed that when I don't have it active and I get silenced it doesn't gray out and if I hit it while silenced I'm able to cast again. I would say, that maybe you need to have apiece of heavy armor on for it to work. You know it is an ability that's from the heavy line. I do recall prior to update 3 players could use it without heavy armor equipped. I'd say its working as intended.

    Glad I'm not the only one who noticed a sudden shift to Negate magic shields. Accustomed to seeing 1 or 2 thrown down every so often but now, no fewer than 5 or 6 shields and Sorcs streaking around. Rumor has it the Immunity is not working against certain abilities but working as intended vs other forms of CC?

    @ZOS_BrianWheeler aware of this situation?

    It works without any heavy armor, and you can cast it under negate. Used it without problems for whole day (8.10.14), so after 1.3.3.
    You are probably being stunned under the negate, thats why you cannot cast it.

    Yeah it still works without heavy armor that is not in question. Something is fishy though ... too late for this old dog to log back in.

    It works without any heavy armor, and you can cast it under negate.

    Sorc Vamps are the new DK Vamps. Time will fix this problem as long as Zenimax are made aware of it, which I'm sure they are.

    Of course, Immovable is currently broken, and as such that needs to be fixed. Or if there was a secret change to make it only usable by having Heavy Armour equipped, that should be made clear in the tool tip and patch notes.

    This is also another case of Vamps just rocking PvP. It's crazy really that they can do so much damage and healing that you literally can't hurt them, and then die as soon as they get close to you. Even with Fighter's Guild skills you have a rough time taking them down... it's crazy!

    I completely disagree.
    Negate Magic is a powerfull ability that should silence every affected target and prevent them from using any kind of magic.
    Nowadays you can simply cc-break inside the field and cast magic again, which is completely insane. A puny cc-immunity such as cc-break or immovable shouldn't be able to ignore it, or does immovable let you ignore the damage from a nova or dk-standard?

    In fact i believe the duration of immovable should be tied to how many heavy-armor-pieces you are wearing, maybe 2 or 3 seconds a piece.
    That way the problem with the illogical 7/7-light-wearers would be solved as they would not have any immunity unless they wear at least one piece of heavy.

    I agree with your second point, but everything needs a counter measure. Being able to swap and use a potion under a negate is not a counter. Immovable is a counter.

    i've been experiencing this ever since 1.3, and immovable becoming unreliable would make sense considering the significant changes they made to the way that cc and its respective immunity is applied, but didn't upgrade the mechanics of immovable itself. i do notice it becoming worse in larger, more server-taxing battles (which i suppose is where the lack of immunity to constant streak-negating becomes most apparent) and being more reliable when i am alone or in open field.

    lots of other people i've spoken to are experiencing this issue as well. we've all submitted tickets and all we can hope for is a response, i suppose.

    you might consider switching to 5-piece arena set if you find yourself stuck with immovable not working a lot - it lowers the cost of cc break by nearly half, and you can use break free inside a negate to gain the same effect, only for 3 seconds instead of 6.

    My Immovable still works against Negate. However the skill is bugged in general since patch 1.3.3. Sometimes it stops working, but I mostly experience this when streaked or knocks-backed. Immovable is up and I'm still getting slammed to the ground (which usually means dead in 1 sec in PvP)

    Really hope they fix it, especially since the so-called cc immunity isn't working either. Than old issues on top of it making it even more annoying, like cc-break not responding.

    You cant have a game with 0 cool-downs on cc abilities, while all the counters are bugged or unreliable.
