Make it so AP is taken away when dieing to an enemy..that ap in turn is given to whoever killed you(most dps). Then judging who should be emperor off of AP will be a little more fair. (will also take away the farming sploits)
No ap given for keep sieges or resources captured.(these are strictly to be used for strategic purposes in securing the center 6 keeps or getting scrolls nothing more) Make the player guard their AP like its something special . Make them work for it..make them PVP for it...like it should be..not something that is passed around and laundered before its traded. That makes it cheap and worthless..which is what it is now..AP..AND the title of Emperor."cheap"
OH and P.S. I think the former emp title/buffs should be removed completely. Who cares if you were somebody at one time in some make believe pretend campaign where you had no competition or traded to get your title..we only care about the Current Emp and those in line.

Ive seen a vr1 Tyro With former emp title.
Its a nice-to-have-buff so I am strongly against removing it... Nevertheless the buff is so small that it shouldnt really be a disadvantage if you fight against a Former Emperor. So ZOS should just change things so it won't happen on future campaigns and leave everything else just like it is now.
Blackwater has had five emperors to date (and there is about a five day gap in between the first two where there was not one). Getting emp on this campaign is actually a LOT harder than getting it on a vet campaign since taking even a single unguarded keep may take 16 players with four camps an hour because people die constantly due to the overpowered guards.
Three day no emp
AD Emp - Deposed after two days
Five day no emp
EP Emp (me) - Leveled out after four days
Five day no emp
AD Emp - Deposed after four days, was very close to leveling out anyway
DC Emp - Leveled out after three days
EP Emp - Incumbent but is level 49 and will probably be gone tomorrow. (down to 2 keeps and is probably VR1 already if they have been defending at all)

Grats on getting Emp fighting HARD NPCs.. This is ridiculous. Getting EMP is HARD when both factions work against you, that means 2x50+ trains rolling in. But I guess killing an NPC can be tough and you have to spend a camp or two... lol gimme a break
