Is an execute necessary in PvP?

As the title says. I've rolled with "Killer's Blade" and without it, and both times I haven't "really" noticed any difference. Granted, I suck at PvP so much it's probably because I never get anyone down to 25% myself that I don't know the difference, but hey what's the community's opinion?

I would not be able to finish anyone off without Killer's Blade/ Impale with my current build. I think it's somewhat essential with all the heals and shields out there to have an 'execute'. Then again I can only speak from my POV, bow + stam build.

I try to use my 2H sword skill executioner in my stam build to finish off an enemy so they can see it in the death recap...

It certainly isn't necessary to have an execute. It just depends on how you build your character.

I rarely use an execute in my builds because I can't justify trading one of my other skills for one. To me, having a skill that is only useful when an enemy is <25% hp isn't very useful, but I've seen others use them with success and I've also been on the receiving end of builds that have them.

It all depends on your build. If you are a stealthy, ganking type, for example,e you will need an execute. as you want to kill your enemy as fast as possible. IF you are a tank type of player, that charges groups and keeps them occupied, then you wont need an execute. All depends on your build. I myself don't think I could kill pplayers without killers blade/impale.

If you're a stam build forget it. I'm running impale right now at VR12... barely 400 damage crit when the enemy is under 15% health even. In that situation, it's better to run a weapon ability that is an execute if necessary.
