I guess the deal is, we just don't know if you guys think the current level of lag on the EU server is acceptable or if it is going to be fixed? People besides myself have asked for updates on this as well and there is no response.

    What is going on?

    Thank you

There is again lag tonight on the EU server. I have seen no updated post referencing that this is still being worked on and is a priority.

So I am wondering, is this a priority that we can play with a lag free experience during primetime?

Please let us know what is going on with the lag & technical issues. Thank you

I am just curious that it has been so long since there was an update. I realize there are many things "Cooking in the oven" so to speak, but this is basic functionality that should be working for everyone.

There's massive lag on us server also, it's so bad the game is unplayable. Every few minutes I freeze up.

I considered responding with "What Lag?" but I was stupidly tired yesterday and unable to play, so I wouldn't have seen any on either server. I haven't really noticed anything but occasional lag spikes on EU in the last week though. Keep complaining though, it tells them a problem might exist if there are enough "agrees"

What campaign ? I think the lag you experienced is caused by overpopulation.

Don't think it's just a zone population issues, as I experienced a few spikes in VR10 Bangkorai tonight and that zone's rather empty. Something is bogging the whole server down at prime time and although it seems to be most apparent in campaigns and crowded places, it's becoming noticeable in rather low pop zones as well.

Had one short spate of lag around 21:00 (MEST) but that was it. Compared to what it used to be, this is bliss. What I have noticed, and I swear this is true! is that quests bug out way more often during busy times.

In any case, best to report in game as well.

I remember the old days in UO, when somebody using AOL would wander by and everyone else would lag like hell....they ended up making a server just for AOL users cause of the grief it caused...AOhelL.

I think these days it's users of Comcast that cause everyone else to lag. Lets just shut down the link and be done with it. :D

    - you should take a moment to post a couple of logs if you are certain (ie you have checked) about any lag issue that neither you nor your provider are responsible for. There are relevant threads and user posts detailing how you could about it.
    - also, and no offense meant, can you differentiate between lag and FPS loss?

that aside, i have never experienced any significant/prolongued lag issue myself. The odd spike here ane there, sure, just like in any other MMO

what i have experienced, and i cannot know to what extent this is the client-to-server thing, is a certain delay/pause(?) when using many skills consecutively.
In combat, the experience resembles that of a GCD barrier. Use one skill, then use a second two times in a row as fast as you would have in most other MMOs. Won't happen here. There is a very slight but noticeable (if you are experienced with the skill) delay between input and action. That last stroke won't be instantaneous, even though it should have (ie no cd on skill, no cast time, etc)
It is something i have noticed outside of combat as well. Mount, unmount and try to mount again fast, open a container, open your inv, open some other UI element, same thing. Might be they made it so, might be it's a tweak that is in the wait for it to be resolved. Cannot say.

I have general latency issues since the EU server migration. Before, I only encountered lag in cyrodiil during large battles.
