Ok, I have been trying to make sense of the weapon damage attacks. If anybody can help decipher this for me I would appreciate it.
I am VR5 Sorcerer, I did this testing in the Rift on the same mobs.
Weapon Set One: Sword and Shield.
Dominion Blue VR4 Sword w/dominion VR4 Shield
Dmg information: Base Dmg: 110 +70 Disease Dmg
Light attacks 94 dmg, per hit +63 dmg every 4/5 hits of disease

Weapon Set Two: 2-handed Axe
Purple VR5 2-handed Axe (Bloodfury)
Dmg information: Base dmg 140 +30 unresistable damage
Light attacks: 129dmg +30 dmg every 3/4 hits of unresistable

Weapon Set Three: Bow Blue VR5 The Poachers Friend
Dmg Information: Base dmg 113 +36 Poison
Light attacks: 156 dmg +32 Poison every 3/4 hits (Close range less than 20m)

I am trying to understand why the bow by far and large would do more dmg per hit plus have a very high rate of fire. means the bow is superior wpn. I am not against bow's it just seems "broken"? that the bow would have such an advantage in dmg. over a 2-handed axe. Especially when the "dmg" seems to be w/e ESO feels like. I have NO pasisves or any skill points in bow at all. I only recently found that it does MORE dmg than its "base". i have been told there is some invisible cap on melee wpns or 2h wpns at any rate. I have the most passives skills in 2-handed. I am going to be respecting all my skill points out of 2-handed. Is this working as intended? Is it broken? My character sheet shows a "cap" of 171 for Weapon dmg I am no where near that with any weapon but my dmg does seem to be capped with 2-handed. Even adding up the bleeding passive and other passives it doesn't equate in dmg anywhere near that of the bow with a much lower damage.
