grimjim398✭✭✭The game population is much more comfortable these days; the first month was crowded with people in the below 50 zones. Now it's spread out so that there is help but not so much that the game is too easy. I have three Vets in vet zones and the population there feels like a good balance, less like a tourist game and more like Elder Scrolls. I hear groups are hard to form but some of that is because players are snobs about what classes and builds they want in groups, as usual.0 -

Even with lots of people leaving, new fresh people started to play the game, sure, there isn't that much people like before,but there are still some...also, the game seems to have been through some kind of "Detoxify stage" ,where lots of toxic users left ...you will see less of a "Barrens chat" nowadays in low level zones compared to what it used to be before, which is good. The game still needs more people, with ALL zones populated with a nice amount of them so it will be easier to start groups. Also, just like somebody else said, there is a lot of "timid" players which barely use /s or /z chats,which sucks,they are probably people who are new to MMOs.

Part of the problem is those new to MMOs that see zone chat swamped with abuse and insults tend to avoid chat
Not saying ESO is always like this...just sometimes. For the most part Most responses are friendly and helpful. Its just the few that spoil it.

A lot of us avoid zone chat because it's trash.
The night Robin WIlliams killed himself I was listening in zone to just buy and sell items ffs, and suddenly people start going on diatribes about how people who don't believe in god will be super surprised when they die and how people who commit suicide are cowards.

Grunim✭✭✭✭✭I had the same experience. I came back online, and it astonished me; more than 40 people on my friend list were greyed out. Only one of them remained active.
The guild was dead and I was the only one around. I'm sure more people came in, but all of those people are gone.
Sounds like it's time to make new friends. I find plenty of people in various zones and my guilds are quite active as well.
Am a whimsical Generation Jones gamer. Online RPGs hooked me since '94 and no sign of stopping soon...1 -
SaiJinu✭✭i begin an AD yesterday and i saw people near me questing , sincerely i wasnt sure im gone see so many leveling. Eso is alive ..i dont know if people make alts or they are new players ..but after some months afte rthe game come live people are still in and play it is good0

Bollerlotte✭✭✭i run a PUG guild of 500 players, since early days 95% players quitted ESO i can tell by looking into roster.
For me the Major issue in the beginning is that the eso team prefered not to work with the community. in forums there was a time were less then 1 green post comes to 500 costumer posts. they allways said the communicate with us but that was a lie. uncomment-able statements are no communication for me in a mmo in the year of 2014.
player who now un subscribe feel like they are missing content to play. there is actually no casual time dump like in other mmo's. there is no shame in using other mmo's as a set standard need for a subscription mmo in 2014.

Sarenia✭✭✭✭✭High turnover for the first months of an MMO is standard.
There's probably other people like myself, as well, who jump in during launch, give our feedback on critical bugs, then take a break for awhile while the game stabilizes. So you'll see returning faces too.[beta_group_85b_9]1 -
It's not dying, but it's slowly settling down into it's core base of players. Without major changes, I can see ESO in pretty bad shape a year after release. No one I know or started with plays anymore, and I can't see myself playing much after something with free aim and better pvp comes out.3 -

OMG the shear amount of EP guys that stormed one of our keeps, Aldmeri Dominion, (the last for someone in EP to become Emperor) was unbelievable last night, it was a true battlefield..Signed, Kotaro Atani.PS5 NAVR16/ CP 160 Khajiit Nightblade of the Aldmeri Dominion, Guildmaster and Assassin of the Queen's Hand guild on NA PC. PvP Officer in the WOLF guild on NA PS5, and of course Master Thief. Currently 3600 CP out of 3600 CP on NA PS5. Currently 810 CP on NA PC (used for PTS testing purposes only). On PS5 I am also a Master Crafter, all traits done and learned, Jewelry crafting done. all Motifs learned on PS5 except for maybe two-three Motifs.
