Grinder's kill MMO's, do you agree, what should be done about this?
In my opinion the term "grinding" has been the sole reason why I avoid MMO's, it is too easy for player's to take advantage of the game's mechanics by continuously doing minute tasks that have nothing to do with the over all role playing aspect of the game. It are people like this that make MMO's less enjoyable for the newer player's by taking advantage of their lack of knowledge of the game mechanics.

As for the roleplaying aspect, I see nothing out of place with warriors killing monsters.2 -

Grinder's need to be stopped.How about the fact that when a new player join's the "PVP" they immediately get slaughtered because they don't know what they are doing? Grinding is part of the game but it should not be the ONLY part of the game. That's my only point, when you have player's staying in the lower level area's until they are forced to leave is not the way this game should be run. That right there ruin's this entire game for me, I am an avid MMO player and my favorite aspect of all MMO's has been the ROLE PLAYING aspect of the game, simple as that. If you want to grind until you can beat the turd out of any player who opposes you then you should be playing an FPSMMO, not a RPMMMO, there is a huge difference.May the Night Mother watch over you.

Grinder's need to be stopped.I bought this game and started to play it for the "role playing" in it, not so that I can get my a** handed to me when I want to do PVP. I personally would do ALL of the PVE quests if I knew that way wasn't going to take forever to actually level cap. That is not the point of this thread. I don't care what level you are or aren't. Player's are slaughtering newer player's because they have VR only gear. At this point playing PVP is like walking into a death trap, good for leveling but *** for my character. I enjoy role playing games because they are ROLE PLAYING as in you are supposed to BE THE CHARACTER, not just slaughter nooblets in an attempt to get the better gear. It's in my opinion distasteful and ruins the gaming environment as a whole for me. You can say that I choose the wrong game but I would beg the differ, this is an ELDER SCROLLS game and I enjoy the ELDER SCROLLS lore. I typically stay away from MMO's for exactly this reason, you can't have a true RPMMO withouth the role playing.May the Night Mother watch over you.

The reasons you bought the game are utterly irrelevant to everyone else who bought their copy of the game for whatever reasons they had (and their reasons should be equally utterly irrelevant to you). If you bought it for RP-reasons, be happy, but don't even for a split-second think that because you bought and play it for RP-reasons, that everyone else should conform to your reasons and playstyle.
RP can be a part of it, that's up to you, but it should under no circumstances be enforced on everyone.
If it's just PvP that ruins your whole gaming environment for you, simple solution -> don't PvP.1 -

Grinder's need to be stopped.That may be true, I am by no means trying to make other people play the way I do. Personally i would rather see RP players gone than grinders. Mostly cause grinders dont come and whine each 5 mins about good features that break immersion and so on.

Grinder's need to be stopped.I'm mainly referring to the PVP skills, not the PVP in general. I enjoy the PVP system as much as I enjoy the PVE system. I just can't play the PVP because I have only been playing for a few day's. The PC isn't even my platform of choice, just the one I am left with until the console release. You can call me a noob all you want but we all start somewhere and going around to the lower level PVE place's to "farm noobs" is the only thing I am against.May the Night Mother watch over you.

Grinder's need to be stopped.I am just frustrated at going into a dungeon to do a quest only to find no mobs in site and a level 40+ running through it, this is probably the reason it is taking so long to implement the "justice system" because how are you supposed to penalize players for playing the way they like. You can't at the moment, however if we had the Dark Brotherhood, then you could just send a hit squad on the player's you don't like or the player's that have offended you. I am not trying to get people to stop grinding, it's a very essential part of an MMO, but is it fair for level 40+ to be grinding the starting area's and leaving no mob's for the other newer players?May the Night Mother watch over you.

Grinder's need to be stopped.I understand, it's just frustrating for me only having a little over 20+ hours logged on. I honestly didn't notice the "quest level" until I was doing level 15 quest's at level 10. I am enjoying the game thoroughly however despite the challenges, I just wanted to get a feel for the PVP environment and it looks like I can't do anything until I at least get past level 15. Going in before that has proven to be suicide on my part, as I don't know the skill tree's or the build type's. I just play the way I want to play and that's that.May the Night Mother watch over you.
