But being a Stage 4 vampire should carry consequences. You should look ugly. You should be shunned by society at large. You should not be able to enter a town of normal without being attacked by angry mobs (although I appreciate that this would be almost unthinkable in an MMO, so I'll settle for vendors refusing to do business with you). Right now, there's no reason to not be a Stage 4 vampire, so if the appearance gives at least some players a little pause, I'll take it.

that would be cool, some vinders however should stay(few and far between so we dont shut them out entirely in daggerfall the shady merchants would still deal with you even if you were a vamp) this should also happen for werewolfs if they change in town they are hunted down by gaurdsMornaBaine wrote: »nerevarine1138 wrote: »If anything, I'd like more social consequences for being a vampire, which could be accompanied by a longer time in the earlier stages to avoid constant feeding.

Well, when I say "longer than 20 minutes" I'd frankly be happy with just a full hour like the other stages. "Longer than 20 minutes" does NOT mean "indefinitely." The mechanics could (and should) still move forward. And by stage 3 and 4 guards should be attacking you and townspeople should be screaming and fleeing in terror. However, even if you COULD look like a stage 1 vamp indefinitely, by stages 3 and 4 you should be putting off such an awful "WRONG!" vibe that people would still KNOW you were a monster instinctively and react accordingly. I don't want to make it EASIER to play a vamp...I want to make it more FUN...which IS harder in some cases!
Your appearance is how I identify you.
Leave it as is.

But why should you have that automatic advantage? As to game mechanics, the vampire skill line is the same as any other. You don't get to know what build a mage or NB is using until you experience it in combat. Yet with a vamp, you automatically know to whip out the fire damage. How is that fair?

Can you just wear a helmet?
There should be consequences and you should be KOS to guards if you are at stage 4. It would be cool if they implemented that in the justice system.nerevarine1138 wrote: »If anything, I'd like more social consequences for being a vampire, which could be accompanied by a longer time in the earlier stages to avoid constant feeding.

It seems to me RP would be about dealing with the affliction, any RPG's I've played, pen and paper or otherwise you dealt with your choices and afflictions.

In order to better role-play the choices of our character(s), good and bad. We should be provided with simple tools, which definitely exist within the Elder Scrolls universe. A costume or item for vampires, which allows their prowess of the illusion magic to be evident by appearing as if they are not of the infinitely beautiful undead.
