uncommanded dodge rolls

All my characters do unexpected dodge rolls. They do it with command, when least expected. Once they did it and rolled me off a cliff, killing me.

Is this normal, a bug, or something wrong with my settings?

It's not normal.

There are settings that can affect it, and it could even be a hardware problem.

It could be caused by "key bounce" on a keyboard or a weak or dying switch on a controller.

Or it could be how light your fingers rest on the keys.

You can adjust the dodge roll settings in the game by going to Settings -> Gameplay -> Double Tap to Dodge and Double Tap Speed.

Use Double Tap to Dodge to turn it off entirely, or play with Double Tap Speed to find a setting that works well for you.

I use my left mouse key for forward movement and the sensitivity of the double click on the mouse initially had me dodge roll forward at the most inopportune moments.

I have since adjusted my double click delay and now i happens much more infrequent.

Thanks, turning off the double tap feature fixed the problem.

I had same issue... and turned it off for a while. Eventually it'll be worth turning back on and you'll want to fine tune the setting so it works for you.. you'll be at a disadvantage in PVP without it.

My ultimate fix for this was to turn off double tap and bind one of the unused buttons on my gaming mouse to do the dodge roll.

I've just set the delay so that I have to tap forward/backward etc. much faster than the initial settings and I haven't had any more issues.
