You could just make a friend guild for all ur friends and do messages via guild chat. Or send mail by dropping it into the guild bank.

OP, just send them emails instead.

There should be history, can't tell ya how many times i've logged on and just spam e and x to clear out my mail to find out that i missed something from a friend or a crafting request.
As far as spam the game uses the autofiller so its easy to get names to make people.
You should be able to pick who can send/receive mail.
Its a very ULTRA generic mailing system, i expected a better system but then again i realize after playing for a few months Zenimax. Another part of the game they scammed us!0 -

Probably because people would just mail things to themselves rather than sinking loads of gold into bank space. When my friends were still playing we used to send each other stuff with the subject rts. That meant return to sender.

david271749✭✭✭✭✭If your friends are in a guild with you, you can try this. You have to keep you mail open for it to work, and it sends to each person in your guild in 5 second intervals. It has a lot of other neat guild features too.
