I know everybody is ranting that we have unbalanced campaigns, long queues etc etc. My suggestion to solve several problems we are facing with the current campaign structure:
1. Cut the "Special campaigns" for good. No one is attending these, period. People were crying they need a non-veteran campaign and look at the population, it is low 24 hrs a day. Same for veteran only campaign.
2. Get rid off "guesting". Solves several problems, such as switching campaigns because your current home campaign is not to your liking regarding scoreboard and such.
3. Create 4 campaigns, not more. 2 Veteran-Only campaigns and 2 Non-Veteran-Only Campaigns, length should be 30 days and 14 days for each.
Yes, you should not create a campaign that is free for all. Why? Because by creating non-vet and vet-only you force people to decide between 2 campaigns and thus will have good pop on both campaigns for both veteran and non-veteran.
Of couse there has to be an option for non-vet if they would like to switch to vet campaign once they turn vet1 or if they would like to remain in non-vet (level cap. stored xp are a solution).
By doing so you will have people spread equally on those campaigns imo.
Let me explain my suggestion:
I was playing Auriel's Bow (EU) since day 1 and trust me it was not a pleasure defending the gate in the end, nonetheless i did not switch. We lost. We also lost the 2nd Auriel's Bow campaign although it never finished but we were behind and probably would have lost that one also. I did not switch campaign either.
To me you have to be bound to one home campaign and you should not be allowed to switch either. It's just too easy to leave the sinking boat like a rat.
