How would a Duelist class or Weapon play out?

It would be cool if TES combat revolved around more than spamming the attack button. I want a class that can out smart his opponent. A high risk high reward class that will take practice to master.

a duelist usually means he's 1v1. a duelist in those terms will be oblitorated in both pve and pvp, more so in pvp due to some bosses and mini bosses being 1v1
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

Maybe his ultimate will revolve around "chellenging" an opponent. Enemies the duelist hasnt challenged will do significantly less damage. If the duelist attacks a person he hasnt targeted, the challenge will break or he'll do significantly less damage to enemies he hasnt targeted.

You're working hard at this, but it isn't that viable.

If he has to challenge them to do real damage, then he will still be obliterated by Mobs and in PVP.

If he does decent damage against groups, then he will overpowered in one on one.

If neither of the two points above are true, then he isn't a duelist.
