Divines Trait NOT fixed in 1.3.5

The Divines bonus is working, it is just not working the way you would expect. The bonus you receive from mundus stones depends on the armor you are wearing when you activate the stone.

It is as if the stone gives you a one-time buff, and the amount of that buff is determined at the moment you use the stone. If you are wearing full Divine trait, you will get the benefit. If you are naked you will get the baseline buff. The gear you equip from that point on has NO EFFECT on the buff you already received.

You should craft a full set of divine gear, go and activate the stone you want, then change into whatever gear you like. Your bonus will not change.

Edit to add: Just don't use the Warrior stone in this way unless you are comfortable with keeping it indefinitely. There is a bug currently making it impossible to change buffs once receiving the Warrior buff.

That is not how the Divines trait works. Before this patch my bonus was working properly. I could take armor off and on and see the bonus amount change. Now it doesn't matter if I wear armor with Divines or not, I still get the same numbers.

I read this thread and did my own testing.

2228 magic logged in with the mage stone active
2124 magic with the mage stone off
2249 with the mage stone back on

Wearing 3 pieces of Divine trait, 2 at 6.5% and 1 at 7.5%.

•The Divines Armor Trait will now properly increase Mundus Stone effects.

Logging in now to see what changed. I'm wearing 4 pieces with Divines and was still getting very small increases with each piece. I wonder if this fix makes the increases more? I'll let you guys know shortly.

    **EDIT: NOT FIXED!!!

you are correct and im having same problem. the devines mundus stones are not staying when i choose a mundus stone it is not being applied to my character.

it is broken and not working.

The problem isn't that the Mundus stones aren't working, it's that the Divines trait isn't increasing the gain from the Mundus stones.

Something is obviously wrong. Before I started testing this I already had The Lord Stone activated and my health was 2405. I took off my 3 pieces of Divines armor and the number stayed at 2405. I ran across the map to The Tower Stone and activated it. Removed my armor again and my Stamina stayed the same. Ran back to The Lord Stone and activated it. This time my Health only went up to 2381. Equipped and removed my armor and the number stayed the same.

    Explain that one???????

One has to question how this made it into the patch notes. I mean, you'd think that any QA department worth their salary would actually test this before marking it off as "fixed".

You have been around long enough to know already that the ZOS QA department is either woefully understaffed or has misguided directives or is still new and inexperienced when it comes to software testing. I won't mention a fourth possibility. The sheer number of in your face bugs that reach the live server and the recent Road Ahead article (not to mention the posts on these forums) practically begging players to join the PTS should tell you all need to know about what ZOS thinks of their own team's ability to adequately test this game.

I love how people who have no clue about what goes on behind the scenes is suddenly an expert on companies they do not work for, do not know the Real Names of the employees, has never sat in one of the company meetings, and just in general thinks that because they play the company's game, they know everything there is to know about how the company operates.

I am currently a professional software tester and I have been so for several years. I think I am in a pretty good position to make an assessment of the QA department at ZOS. I don't need to know their names or be present in their meetings as I have witnessed the fruits of their labor since last November and I can compare their efforts to my own years of professional experience.

I don't object to you standing up for the ZOS QA team as I am sure there are some very bright and hard-working people on the team. I just believe it is short-sighted on your part to think outside observers have no idea what is going on with them when it's patently obvious that one (or more) of the scenarios I mentioned is currently plaguing the department. But keep on believing that everything is right as rain with them and pay no attention to users reporting continued bugs with an item that was supposedly fixed (again!) with today's patch, for instance.

Outside observers, as you put it, are only able to see what is happening on production, not behind the scenes, so there really isn't much you are able to observe about how they work.

QA Teams test what they are given to test. Again, you have no idea what they are given to test.

Your argument from authority doesn't make your belief regarding the internal workings to which you are not privy correct.

As for standing up for people, yes, I believe that when attacked by others, especially when being attacked by people who have not one clue what is going on behind the scenes, that standing up for those people is a valid response to the personal attack.
Who decided something like this wasn't important enough to be tested?

Given how it was included in the patch notes, I would normally assume the issue was tested properly to ensure it was working given the high profile inclusion in the patch notes. Either this change was not tested correctly (QA problem) or it was mistakenly included in the patch notes (Communications problem). Take your pick.

SIX MONTHS into this game and mundus stones are still *** up beyond all recognition. After MULTIPLE attempts to correct them, and fixing, and repairing...a new patch comes and another stone is broken. ZoS needs to get this under control seriously.

I should not be required of jumping through hoops, unequipping, reequipping, reloading ui, dropping stones, adding stones blah blah blah every patch to find out if my stuff is working correctly or not. This needs to be FIXED.

Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

Thanks for pointing out how the divine trait works, but this sounds like a bug to me. A clarification from zenimax would be very nice. I don't want to exploit a bug, but if that's the intended way for the divine trait to work I'll certainly use it that way.

It is entirely possible that it is not working as intended, but it has been like this, from what I understand, since the game launched, and I know it has been reported many times, with no reply from a dev that I am aware of. At some point, without further input from the devs we have to assume that it IS working as intended.

hmm i'm going to make a dummy set of divines armor and reget my thief buff, and then keep using impen on my actual armor.

It's not supposed to work like that, even if it was working, which it's not.

I got a reply back from an Anthony in CS, and he said he checked his personal character and it was also not working properly for him. He said he would send my ticket up with the highest priority to be checked. We'll see what happens.

I had word back that this was being looked at, but no word as to when it will be fixed.

Just because a feature is broken, do not expect any sort of assistance though. I spent a large amount to get new purple gear once hitting VR1 and it was all Divines. ZSO will not refund, change traits, or swap gear, supposedly they can't do it. Instead I was given 4 Kresh to compensate for my frustration.

Just got a reply back from a Matthew:

"Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, my name is Matt.

There is still some issues with the Divines trait and effects unfortunately, and we are working diligently to get this resolved and apologize for the inconvenience.

In the mean time, keep an eye on the patch notes here:

    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/categories/official-news-discussions

I would ignore the notes from 1.3.5 saying the trait has been fixed, as obviously there are still some issues with it at the moment, which we will have resolved as soon as possible."

It is probably working, if you have a 20% increase to a 5% crit chance that is just 1% more crit (6% total). What you should do is find out what the stone's base bonus is then use some basic math to calculate what the end result will be.
    “Whatever.”

If you read the thread you would see we've done that. I activated different stones with and without the armor on. The number didn't change. The number also doesn't change if I take off or put on the armor after activating the stone. Before this update I could do that and see changes in my stats with each piece of armor. Now nothing.

Ok, Just found something very curious. I decided to try switching to The Thief Stone. My base crit percent was 3.5% because of my Weapon Trait. I activated the stone and my crit went up to 8.4%. I put on my 3 pieces of Divines armor and it went up to 9.6%. So it appears that the thief stone works properly with Divines, but The Lord Stone and The Tower Stone are not working properly. Interesting. I don't have time to travel all over the map and check each stone, so if someone else can confirm that their particular stone is working with Mundus, please do.
