Motifs and Kuta's not dropping

I loot every container I see, for the last week I have not seen a single motif (only the vet motifs seem to be broken not the racial ones) or a purple recipe. I also farmed runes for a good hour which usually yields about 3-4 kuta's. I did not get a single one.
I got some friends together to help test, we farmed motifs for an hour and not a single one dropped ( or purple recipes for that matter), then we farmed runes in different zones for an hour and not a single Kuta dropped. This has only been happening since he last update. Is this a known issue or is it just really bad luck?

I got a purple vet recipe about three days ago. Friend of mine got a purple motif the day after. Haven't kept an accurate count, but I've gotten at least one Kuta since 1.3, as well.
Also, in general purple recipes seem to be dropping more often. Seeing way more advertised, at least.Ｔｈａｎｋ Ｓｔｅｎｄａｒｒ ｉｔ’ｓ Ｆｒｅｄａｓ．

Same with mine, I barely got any vet motifs to begin with before the patch. Now I haven't gotten anything at all since the last patch
I can honestly say as well that I have not received any purple recipes since first starting out on my first character months ago. I have gotten a lot of the same blue recipes though. 0 -
stewie_801✭✭✭I'm gonna say bad luck. I've gotten Daedric, Ancient Elf motifs, v5 purple recipes and kutas since update 3. 1ne2woBe✭✭✭(Within my own experience) I've received about 5 purple recipes (2 of which were same), and not one motif since the latest patch. Rare mats have been easily obtainable as well (daedric hearts) for me. Found at lease 3 Kuta within 3 of my 3 of my used characters.
Within my experience, it is OK since I already have all motifs anyway. However, I do enjoy providing my closest allies with new/better stuff that I do not need. (Share, don't sell people.
) You give an AE motif to one of your closest friends within this game, and you'll come out three times fold of appreciation. That is worth much more than fictional gold. Imperial motif going for over 30k? LOL, you guys are too funny. Purple recipes going for 120k? ... Yeah...

✭✭My results: No purple motifs for me (maybe because highest character is vr1?), but I do find purple recipes on occasion since 1.3 patch. I am finding fewer blue motifs than I did before, and a ton more blue recipes.Happy All the Holidays To You and Yours!

Admittedly I am not hunting for the racial ones but I open every contain I find on my VR5 character and she hasn't found a single motif or purple recipe. So either the gods of random numbers hate me or the drop rate has changed. It almost seems like whatever they have done so you can't pick up multiple purple recipes or motifs in a short time has bugged out on my account and I can never receive those drops.0 -

a week and a half ago or around there I did some farming for purple food recipes. yiasemi✭✭✭✭I used to get a motif at least every day, since the last patch none. I knew this would come, I saved all my duplicates (I change character after about VR2-3) during the generous phase following the first nerf.. Really annoys me, I have been rampaging through wardrobes and chests. nada, niento, zilch. Recipes coming out of my ears, green and blue. Motifs, I gotta buy them COD. Not good, why do they keep nerfing them, just so they can say we did something this week I suppose. Just leave it alone, 0 -

It seems to be a case that you get it when you least expect it vis-á-vis randomly checking containers with a bank alt for the lolz; a.k.a. RNG.

yiasemi✭✭✭✭Yeah, well that just confirms my observations. I am now almost farming for motifs (and I mean basic) desperately and not finding any. I haven't reached the point of relogging, although I have to relog constantly with the EU server anyway!! It is really ruining my game. Disastrous choice, it will drive people like me who love crafting new motif styles every few levels into the arms of the farmers or make me start relog farming too. Idiotic. You can now dye your clothes, but better get used to the same clothes until VR1 when we might let you dress like a....wait for it....Breton, if you're lucky!

That's definitely a valid theory, but I have seen motif drops since the patch.
It's entirely possible that purple recipe drops have reduced the frequency of other purple drops, but there's absolutely no hard data. All we have are the collected complaints of people who haven't had good luck lately.----

✭✭✭Motif rate does seem a bit odd for me. While I don't farm motifs, I camp at Rawl'Kha and can't resist looting that inn and bank whenever I'm there, which is a LOT. There was a point when I'd fine a motif every other day or so, now I've only found one in last couple of weeks(AE just today). Only found one purple recipe, too, but that's probably just my luck - a friend's already found two. Anyway, I put my rare motifs in my guildbank for my friends to use if needed=)
Kutas now, they have always been insanely rare for me. My hireling never sends them and farming...I've farmed Bleakrock and Stros M'Kai a lot for runes, normal rate for me seems several Rekuta an hour if I'm lucky and maybe a Kuta once a day or something, assuming I spent most of that day farming. I wish I'd find 3-4 Kutas an hour xD I think I've only acquired...25 or so Kuta during the whole course of my gameplay, I swear I've found more rare motifs lol.0 -

See? Motif drop rates haven't been lowered with the patch! They were lowered two months ago. And they also stopped dropping everything else. Bad luck doesn't exist! The developers have clearly conspired against us.----

Do you happen to have an conclusive, incontrovertible evidence that there was not change? Or are you just being augmentative?
I don't need to present conclusive, incontrovertible evidence that things haven't changed. For one, you can't prove a negative. More importantly, if you're making a claim that something has changed, you're the one who needs to prove something.----
