Best AP is from small teams of 4-8 players who defend keeps and resources. The teams can also go out and wipe much larger forces if they have decent teamwork skills.

A small good team can make around 100k every 2 hours (some can do it in an hour but 2 hours seems a good target goal for new teams).

Running around in very large zergs is not the way to go.

Exactly, you don't really need a very large group, just unknowledgeable enemies and a reason for them to keep coming non stop.

Best xp I've seen was in a 17 members group stacking on top of each other.
Over 100k in an hour, just moving through larger forces that didn't use the stacking exploit and farming them.

Just remember not to burn their forward camps, or they stop comming.

Get a destro staff. Train fire ring from impulse and slot all other defensive spells..shields etc...then max your magika and weapon damage and run around in GOD mode spamming ONE spell that cannot be blocked and lie to yourself that you have skill..You'll prolly become emperor. :)

How could you forget to mention their reliance on one of the Bat Swarm morphs to help clear a path when they are surrounded?

I have been wondering, especially when the top person on the leaderboard has almost twice the ap of the second person......

At least one of the DC emps on thornblade hangs out at ADs suicide resource and hits people dying once to farm ap. So do that I guess.

    There are basically two ways.

Gank people solo or in a very small group - AP rewards scale poorly with increasing group size. Farm the routes reinforcements of the enemy factions are going, between camps and castles, etc. For a solo kill you'll get several hundreds of points.

Or join a bomb group and spam impulse all day. You'll get less AP per kill, but thanks to your superiour skill ( i.e. lagging out and crashing everyone's client around you ) they'll just keep rolling in.

Unfortunaly the absolute worst option is to actually play the campaign, unless you're defending against the Mongolian hordes 24/7. The AP you get for taking even heavily defended structures is laughable.

Some lols in here from a few posters.

You can't solo your way to the top. A team is required. TS is essential and leadership a must. Knowledge about the way the game works and how you get the AP ticks.
Lastly in your team you better have some healers to keep you up or rez you when you're down.

    Good luck.

Zerging is the best way to get AP. In this game, all the AP comes from Defense of objectives- not kills. Join a big lemming zerg and move around taking and defending objectives... you'll get AP.

Why all the high rank people are zergers.

    Well ...
Got 120k in 6 hours roaming solo, going from battle to battle trying to get att/def tick.
    DK with 1h/shield/Destro.
I dont think you can do better solo. Maybre with ganking but, I try never to gank the same personn twice (I think it feels like harassment ..) and after a while its geting boring.

Zerg kills other zergs with their zerg, better in the castle, better to kill Emperror... Bingo! 250K AP in 3 hours!

Conclusion: be a part of the zerg, creature... hear it's whisper... feel it's power... we are waiting for you...

    Yours sincerely,

    Héhé...
    Thats the problem.
I was part of a zeg/blob for like 10 days, and it was as fun as watching paint dry.
It got nothing to do with pvp. Exept for the leader I just cant understand how people stand to play like this.
You just feel like a lemming : "do this", "do that", "stop", "go". Is really weird how even in game people feel the need to obey, and cant live on their own...

    @Vanzen

Just attack the trail of the zerg. All those "zergers" when they lag behind they are food even to the worst of players.....

Follow the enemy zerg and you will be fine :D

Or else roll a Dragonknight and take on small groups....

Defending keeps and resources with smaller numbers will give you the best AP.

Helping your faction win the campaign, will give you the least AP, since it involves a lot of travelling, wiping and PvE.

Running 24-man trains is good AP to. Even if the AP per kill is very low, you get enough kills to make up for it. But I still feel you get a little bit more in a small group camping resources and similar. More points each kill and defence ticks.

As a soloer you get loads of AP if you can handle using multiple oils. Of course not possible if to many allies around, because everyone wants the oil/siegie spots. Can also spam HoTs on people for AP. It's easier than trying to tag every single hostile.

EP has 3 or so people in the top ten that do this all day. Best AP in the game at the moment. Some of us are worth quite a bit of AP after we stop a siege, and run to the suicide resource to jump to the next big battle. If you think about these 2 or 3 guys are literally hitting everyone on the AD side, and getting credit for the kill. I can't imagine how many people run to that resource to die.

Didn't think it would be hard to figure out. Look at the map for the one red resource deep in AD territory. That's your farm. It changes from one keep to another every so often. They just sit there hidden till someone comes along and hit them once. Let the guards kill them. Gain AP. If its a big group they throw down caltrops. Gain lots of AP.

This reminds me of the time all those cry-babies had a fullblown melt down when they decided to “balance” the sorc, the devs went in the right direction, just didnt go far enough😂
