How long until I can delete more characters?

I want to delete all my characters and start fresh but I have to wait and it doesn't tell me how long until I can delete another 3...does anybody know? Thanks for any help.

In 24 hours, you will get one more delete. So if you have more characters, it will be an additional day for each.

I cant even think of a legitimate reason why you would delete all your toons to start over. Can someone help me out here? You cant actually mess them up perm or anything.

I made a lot of mule chars as fillers for bank space, I eventually want to play them for real so have to recreate their looks, race, and class setup.

If you delete 3 characters, first delete opens again in 24 hours then second on another 24 hours and thirs yet another 24 hours more.

So to get all 3 back without deletiung anything in between, it takes total of 72 hours to open all 3 again.

At least im pretty sure it is like this from what i learned when deleting characters.

Why i have deleted so many? For failed appearance, For forgetting to set right voice, for forgetting to adjust weight etc

If you delete 3 within a few seconds of each other, then 24hrs later you will have 3 deletes available within seconds of each other.

I've deleted 3 toons that were just experimental creations, and the next day I had 3 again.

it has to be a few seconds; I deleted several characters in the span of maybe 20 mins and my additional deletions are coming in slow as dirt...I really dislike this deletion limit at least make it every 12 hours.

The 3 deletes makes perfect sense except for those of us that want to delete a character we've made because it doesn't look right or, in some cases, sound right. So rather than have to fiddle around with a certain number of deletes, how about a feature be provided that allows us to tweak our characters after we see them in-game. There are many who would agree that one reason they delete a character is because there is something they dislike about their new character that they'd like to go back and change. It may seem silly to some, but there are those of us who take it seriously.

Oh, and by the way, I deleted a character to make a new one, an hour passed and I deleted that one to make tweaks to her appearance. After another hour, I deleted that one for the same reason. Just couldn't seem to get my girl right. Anyway, more than 24 hours later (about 26) I got one character. The other one did not come an hour later, and the third one did not come an hour after that. So maybe I do have to wait a full 24 hours, or more, for one, then a full 24 hours, or more, for the next. Hmmm. Doesn't make me happy.

ah yes, I understand completely. i'm remaking a character at the moment, I have everything exactly right except his legs. I know that sounds stupid, but they are annoying me lol.

Botters must hate this feature. I on the other hand love it and wish you could only delete 1 character a week at most.

I agree that it can be annoying. I'm the type that likes to try out the classes/races, and then I'm picky about how my final character looks. And now I've got 8 characters that I am not interested in playing, and no way to delete them. But, I also understand that this system helps with bots and the like. I just wish we had a /little/ more freedom.

Well here's what used to happen endlessly before they introduced the delete limit:

Create random level 3 character
Teleport to friend/accomplice in Riften
Pick up easy no-combat fetch quest
Complete fetch quest
Collect gold reward scaled to level 40-something
Mail gold to friend/accomplice
Delete character
Go back to step 1

Back in those days gold sellers were everywhere.

Because instead of tying level requirements to those missions or scaling the gold rewards to the player level (like in every other MMO ever), they decided the best solution was to disallow character deletions.

Anyways, not a huge issue once you have your characters set up, but for new players that are perfectionist with character creation, it can be an annoyance.

This has been annoying me too since all I wanted was to change some sliders on my new Altmer. Having to wait over 24 hours to be able to delete it is just frustrating.

Guess I have to wait 12-24 more hours.

I Actually like this, I'm an altoholic but I actually play them. I have 7 that I thought I wouldn't play much but I rotate between them and depending on who I feel like playing..they're the one that I concentrate on that day. Yesterday I made one and got to level 6 only to find..not the right class..sooo I used my last deletion on him.
