68g in 1.4 Rewards Emails

My VR14 Alliance Rank 2 character received one of the new Rewards for the Worthy emails on the 1.4 PTS yesterday. It contained 68g as well as the actual piece of equipment attached directly to the email. The secret equipment boxes/chests seem to be a thing of the past as far as these emails are concerned.

Thank fricken god, those boxes annoyed me to no end, since i would almost always accidentally detach a v12 box on a mule toon at some point or another and have to RTS it then to a guildie to get it back. PITA

The 68 gold isnt terribad either really, i get anywhere from 20-50 rewards a day most days and that would be 3000 or so gold a day.

More than enough to pay for my consumables in addition to the equipment selloff.

Not as fast as zombie grinding, but thats the gold rewards of 4-6 vet quests. Good enough for me.

Its actually a bit more if you sell the items you get as well.

That's not that bad though yea.

Actually that is way to little given the costs of pots and mats. it should at least be over 100g a reward

I easily blow 10k a good night of PVPing between keep materials and potions

Yea I would have preferred about 100-150g per box, 68 is abysmally low. I wonder if it scales to level. If not, maybe that's why they made it so low.

If it scales to your character level, then you will not be receiving any more than 68g as I am VR14 on the PTS. However, if it scales to Alliance War Rank, then there is a lot of room for increases over the Rank 2 I was when I received it.

If there are any AD or DC characters on the PTS on Chillrend or Haderus who are willing to help test whether Alliance War Rank influences the amount of gold in the Reward emails let me know (EP here). I'm about 2K AP (I think) from Rank 3 and I will trade kills. I also have the limited FC given during the training quest to help speed up this test.

Luckly I'm not afraid of trading lol..
My average daily pvp cost is 75-125k, with only 2x alch rings.
I've asked the warlord to pay me in bugloss and columbine multiple times.

How is this possible? You are buying 1,000 tri-pots from other players every day?

How often did you find you were getting gold bags? say from 10 bags roughly how many would contain gold? I guess what i am really asking is, is this change enough to help those who only PvP to start actually making some decent money now or no?

400 panacea of hp, 200 panacea of spell power, 100 panacea of speed, 1 respec with 210 skills points, 1 restat, 3-5 purple vr5 food, and I try to buy at least 4 dreugh wax a day to get all my toy sets legendary eventually.

When it comes to tri pots, typically I buy more like 1,800 and resell 1,400.

I bet they do that so people who read that they will be giving gold in the worthy rewards would't just save their e-mails and open them on patch day :P.

Guess I might as well open all mine lol. Is a good thing either way. I was glad they did away with boxes from hirelings, and i'll be glad for this.

Well you allways have the option to go farm materials yourself if you think this is too little.

And before you say only pvping should systain your gold/material needs, should crafters also get free pvp rewards then?

I earn AP at a decent rate I think but spending 300 ap on wall repair gets steep. I go through almost 300 wall repair mats a day, that is 90k ap a day if I spent it all on wall repair stuff. Not to mention FC's and siege.

Do crafters even have time to PVP?

Personally I would rather have mats than gold so as to not cause too much inflation. The mats can be sold or crafted. The gold is just spent and forces the prices up. The increase in mats should keep prices the same or drop them a little.

I don't get it. I buy 10-20 camps a day - 10-20 trebs a day - 10-20 ballistas a day - 10 oil pots a day 200 Wall kits a day- and I go up by 75K AP daily. Sitting on 3.2 million right now waiting for them to make it a more valued currency.

I buy about 100 spell power pots a day as well - off various auction houses. The equipment I get in the bags goes straight to the siege vendor and turns into currency for the potions. This added 68 gold is more than enough if you can be frugal and not be respeccing for PvE / PVP daily.

Bags for sure for me. Dropped 500k ap on the jewelry and light armor ones today and got a few hot items to sell so I can buy mats to perpetuate my tri pot addiction.
