Incidentally, somebody mentioned caltrops. I'll admit I haven't done much PvP, but from what I understand they are horribly implemented. They should work in such a fashion that the amount of damage you take from them is dependent on how fast you are moving. If you're sprinting/charging you take a lot, if you're running you take some. If you're walking you take very little (if not none) if you're standing still, you take 0.

Not sure that's true about the standing still part. When I had WW and wore 2 HA pieces I would stand in caltrops on purpose if there wasn't much going on in the battle. 24 damage every second or so. Heavy Armor/WW loves constant low damage ticks.

He was saying how he thinks it should work, not how it actually works.

Fair enough :D You have to remember that ZOS can't do multiplication though!

Try to reorient yourself so the shield ain't there no more, or try a shield bash...If all someone is doing is blocking, they are kind of vulnerable to attacks from behind, or at least they should be, attacks should be directional to account for a shield, learn to coordinate better.

Just a small question on aspect of terror, is the morph "manifestation of terror" any good? I have never heard anything, good or bad, about it.

Wrong, at least under current system.

For shields to be directional, the game needs better tracking than it has, much better, therefore shields block a full 360 degrees.

If they want to change that, then they have to improve the games tracking, because often the games says the NPC just two feet away is out of range, or they suddenly blink into a different position.

Basically the need to fix a whole lot before they can make shielding direstional (I'm omitting a lot to keep it brief).
People believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true!

I tested it out for a bit. It actually has a very large radius when placed on the ground.(When you cast it, it places it directly beneath your character). It is basically a fear trap that you can stand on or place in doorways.

My problem with it is that it takes a few seconds to arm itself, so I find it less useful than an instant fear. Aspect also has the bonus of the damage reduction and snare after the fear ends, making it a clear winner for me.
