    In ANY chat, or just public chat? I'm wanting to clarify the possible issue of guild chat being immune to moderation except by guild leaders only. Aren't they (theoretically) violating the ToS by allowing things like hate speech on their guild channels?
    I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
    Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

    Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online support team! This word is in fact inappropriate to use in public channels of the game. Since this was said in a guild chat channel, there isn't much we can do about this horrible word being used. I do agree with you that these folks are using inappropriate chat. The best way to avoid these people might be to simply leave the guild. Each guild is free to speak however they like in their own guild chat, within certain limits.
    Here are some steps you can take to deal with players that are harassing or offensive.
    You can turn on your profanity filter. Press the "Esc" key on the keyboard, then go to Settings and then Social. The profanity filter toggle is near the top.

    You can add a player to your Ignored list, which removes them entirely from your game experience. You won't see them, and they can't talk to you. You can add them directly from the chat window right-clicking their name and selecting "Ignore/Block". Alternatively, press "O" to open the contacts panel, then go to Friends and then Ignored (the crossed circle icon). From here, you can add character names or userIDs. Adding a userID will ignore all characters that player creates.


    So Mercykilling, im thinking ZOS_AlvinM is talking about public zone chats only, I for one wont recommend reporting that kinda of behavior in guild chats anymore, any thing goes so it seems

    for me personally, it dont affect me, but working with 29-31 different nationalities, I know how some of these would be offended even if its use in content just to be funny

    I would assume that examples of what WOULD be appropriate to report from guild chat is if someone is threatening you or harassing you, something along those lines.

    Regardless, I have ****! turret syndrome, so excuse me ***! if I offend ****! you. I have the special kind that I *****! type it instead of say it.

    there is an easy way, right click on the name of the player, choose report, and make sure the text in the chat is still there, mark the box add screenshot and it will auto send a screenshot with the report of the player

    This was MUCH worse in the month or so after launch. I rarely see this sort of thing anymore. Salty language doesn't really bother me anyway. The only time I would report such was if it were threatening or harassing to me or others.
