they need to provide more tools for us if they want us to participate in the pts, I don't want to have to actually play the entire game all over again on there to test stuff out.

Some of that stuff hurts to read, their fixes are terrible, and don't work. And frankly, they do jack squat about exploiters.

I could be wrong, but don't PTS testers get maxed-out characters to play with?

for trials, and it's only one of three races and specific gear. They don't give us the gear being changed or give us access to races (nord for example) they are modifying. Dyes were mostly locked when that was being tested, we had to do that actual achievements to get them. They just don't give us enough tools.

Yep. They get templates at the level with which the content is going to be at. You don't have everything unlocked though.

I got a kick out of them saying they need testers when there is over whelming feedback that they don't actually let people test the content properly. Maybe they'll get it through their heads and give us the proper tools to test the new content instead of the half arsed system we currently have.

Also, the whole wasting time on the PTS and having nothing to show for it is what turns off the majority of people from ever setting foot on it. Given that you're essentially paying to test new content instead of playing the current content.

Aside from vanity pets for subscribers did they say anything that they have not already told us? X will change some day but we don't know how. Y will change some day but we are still working on it. Z will happen some day but everything about it will change in some way we are not sure of yet.

Yeah over all it was a pretty craptastic post. I couldn't even call it an update.

Holy Dibella, are you people just out of things in the world to complain about?

Of course it was rehashing things. They provided a veritable mountain of information at Quakecon. That, combined with interviews they've done, has basically told us what the next year looks like. So what do you expect from these articles? We got a specific preview of the upcoming patch, and an announcement about the loyalty program (which people are already complaining about, despite it being a direct response to the whining on this forum). We got confirmation of what the general order of updates will be. Honestly, I'd like to know: what more did you expect/want from a general update preview?

Sure if you would be willing to answer mine. How is your constant complaining about other people's posts somehow better than people posting their complaints about the actual game? At least they are on the topic of the game your complaints, which you pretty much post something in every thread to complain about other posters, are basically passive aggressive direct attacks on poster not adding anything to the discussion about the game.

I would first off like to know some info on what to expect that wasn't almost word for word from the quakcon info. Especially if this is going to come later than when they said they would post it I would expect something other than a rewrite of already announced info.

I would have liked to know a time frame of when we can expect Phase 2 to start to be implemented and what it means in reality for us. I understand you get vet ranks with XP but how is it going to be implemented. I currently get xp killing stuff in Coldharbour on my V12's is this going to still be the norm? Is xp now going to start to be based on your VR level and the VR level of the mob?

I would have loved to see some clarification on what happens with the Champion system as far as VR ranks. What is the reasoning behind increasing them to take them away? How will the change over work?

Should we expect more VR ranks to keep increasing until the Champion system is put in and can we get some idea how often they are going to increase?

I would have liked to see some indication of what the Champion system is going to mean that doesn't just leave us with more questions. There Champion System update was just about everything is going to change but we don't know how yet. Honestly that just leaves me more nervous about the entire update.

Maybe some info on the types of passives we can expect from the Champion System.

Maybe some info on how crafting is going to work in 1.4 are we going to use all new mats, is it going to be the same mats?

Maybe some time frames that are not "soon" "in a while" and "later".

You should honestly be happy. Without our post you would have almost nothing to do or post about all day.

I guess what i would like in an update is some information about things that had not been released yet. For example there are at least 2-3 post a day about what is going to happen to vr levels. Would it it be to much to ask for some clarification on that issue? Even if it was something as simple as at this point we are unsure exactly where VR levels will fit in the future. That is much better then 2-3 post a day fighting over who said what.

I guess over all i would like a more interactive road ahead, responding to issues people are raising, not just some general marketing info.

I was expecting some harder release dates for content. Not "soon" and "later."

I was very disappointed to see Spellcrafting as "expect to see later" and confused seeing the face animation update as listed sooner; they we're pretty insistant that they were still in an exploratory phase with it and weren't sure when we'd see it live. Did it get bumped up in priority over Spellcrafting?

I would also like information on things we haven't seen in a while or don't already know about, but they probably have to know about it themselves before they release that information. Judging from what I saw in Quakecon Spellcrafting was still in early development meaning they are probably still trying to figure out where to put the spellcrafting stations at. Same with justice system. They probably have the player able to kill npcs but they also have to make sure it only affects their npcs and not everyones, have to make sure that npcs can respawn without being silly, make sure the amount of gold fits the crime and that you don't get charged 1000000 gold for stealing a carrot, and they probably still have to figure out how to get other players to enact justice. Do you put an arrow above someones head? Do you add a bounty board? These are things they are obviously still in house testing. So even though I agree that I would like more interactive Road Aheads they can't release information they don't have or are not ready for.

Right now there is a single VR14 template for Upper Craglorn Trials testing. That's it. 49 attribute points, 98 skill points, all skill lines (excluding crafting) maxed. Lots of gear and other goodies.
