[NB PvP tips fo beginners] Finally! Finally...

...I think I'm getting ok at PvP.

It's been a long road. ESO is my first MMO so I had a lot to learn when I began doing PvP some time after early release and I thought I'd share some of the things I've learned so far for PvP beginners. Seasoned PvPers are welcome to point out what I could be doing better.

1. I joined a small guild pretty much right from the start. Most of the members have played many MMO's before so they had a lot to teach me. But be aware that you have to take what you learn and apply it to your playstyle. What works for others might not work for you. You should be able to find a guild that's suited to your playstyle. This is a good place to look: http://www.enjin.com/recruitment/the-elder-scrolls-online-PC-72859

2. Death! Don't be afraid of it and don't let it get on your nerves. You will die a lot while finding that perfect skills and gear combo. Get used to it!

3. Attributes. I'm a nightblade and during the almost free respec period I tried out different attributes combinations. I tried putting everything in health or everything in magicka or everything in stamina. None of it worked for me. I ended up with 19 health and 15 for stamina and magicka. I armor buffs and jewelry to even things out. Regarding jewelry I tend to switch them a bit. I have jewelry that raises regeneration, increases weapon damage or adds armor. Sometimes I will have 3 pieces of jewelry just for weapon damage. Sometimes I go for health and magicka regeneration and armor. Depends on what I'm doing.

4. Armor sets. It took me a long time to find an armor combination that I was happy with. I tried to pick sets that would complement my skills and attributes and it took a lot of trial and error. You just have to pick two sets that you think might work and try them out in PvE to measure your damage output and then try them out in PvP. I use Recount and FTC addons to measure my damage.

5. Skills. There are a million and a one guides out there for NB builds so I'll point out a few skills that help out in PvP regardless of you class skills:

Immovable - It's a heavy armor skill but you can use it even in full medium/light armor. Basically it protects you from CC and knockdowns. I've had crystal shards and dragon knights bounce off me with this turned on. It's fantastic! I mostly use it with my bow and I'm out in the open. A must for taking down resources and keep flags.

Rapid maneuver - Alliance War skill. Makes you go fast lol. Good for horse riding and retreating.

Mist Form - Vampire skill. Ok. so you have to be a vampire to use this but it works great with Rapid maneuver to get out of a sticky situation quick or even get past oil pots on a breached wall quickly. If you don't want to be a bloodsucker, try shadow cloak instead.

Mage Light - Mage guild skill. Crap at stealth detection but good for the extra spell crit.

Volcanic Rune - Mage guild skill. Hurls your enemies into the air and stuns them. Great fun for everyone ;)

Caltrops - Alliance War skill. Your enemies have it and it's annoying as hell! Slows you down and breaks stealth.

6. Food! Check out the guild traders if you can't make your own food. I start every PvP session with a sweetroll which gives me extra 257 for all three attributes.

7. Siege equipment. Once you have some AP buy some. Always have forward camps, repair kits and ballistas on your hotbar. And if you're the last one to use a forward camp, replace it!!

8. Horse. I went for the gaited horse. Speed and stamina are most important in PvP. Never let the stamina of your horse drop to zero or you will get knocked of it by the lightest touch. When I'm riding I use rapid maneuver and I have my finger on mist form. If I get hit by gankers I hit mist form and then shadow cloak. It brings far away from any attackers and in stealth.

In PvP I have close to 3000 in health and around 2000 in both magicka and stamina (With food buff). I use two armor setups. One is a combination of Night's Silence (5 pcs.) and Night Mother's Gaze (4 pcs.) and the other is Magnus' Gift (5 pcs.) and Twilight's Embrace (4 pcs.)

That's about it I think. Remember that these tips are for beginners by a beginner so there are points in there that you veterans out there may find obvious ;)

Any helpful tips appreciated.

I'm able to make my own armor. Also the good thing about being in a guild is that you have access to crafters who can make the armor for you.
