Frustrating inaccessibility of trials

I hit VR12 shortly after Craglorn was released, but I've yet to finish a single trial. I'd like to, but it seems I am pretty much locked out. Because my main is a templar, it is very difficult to even find a group (guild or no) in the first place. Most don't want or need more than a couple of templars and obviously we aren't worth bringing for DPS. When I have managed to get a group, we've failed every single time for lack of DPS. Bless their hearts, I've been able to find people willing to try with less than a perfect mix, but it doesn't work.

I see that we are getting yet more veteran ranks and more trial content. I'd really like to play this game, but I feel I am being pushed away.

An obsession with DPS is an unfortunate trend MMOs have gotten themselves into. It limits end game content to min / max folks and those who have a lot of free time to use running around the internet searching out optimum builds. Frankly, it shows a lack of ingenuity as any other strategy than the brute force blow things up fast mind set takes over. One thing I liked about DDO when it came out was that you could basically beat any dungeon in several different ways depending on party make-up. With rogues you could get by traps, fighters could use their strength to open certain locked areas, etc. It would be nice to see more games using the idea that you can win with a number of different strategies besides having the highest DPS.

I have guilds that regularly run with Templar DPS (although we already have Templar heals, so there's less of a need for more Templars). No idea why you're running in to people who refuse to run with them.

I would stay away from LF groups, those made in chats are most of the time very elitist and demand top notch skill and setup.

Try the dungeon tool but it might take a while and some wipes to get going.

MMOs sadly moved from a hobby to a job but this is mainly due the players and not so much the games itself. Too many players see a pro-gamer and then assume that only like that the game can be beaten. They will demand his spec, dps, addons and TS and if you cant keep up with one of these things then you are out.

Your best bet might be a guild but unfortunately many guilds are run like companies in RL with a application cycle and "prove your weight" checks. :(

I hope you will be successful in future!

It's not because it's a job, it's because they want to farm. Doing so slowly is a waste of their gaming time. You wouldn't dare bow to how they want to play, why should you expect them to bow to how you want to play?

As many people there are on these forums complaining about not getting into groups, you'd think it'd be super easy for the lot of you to group up yourselves and run at whatever pace you feel like.
    Thank Stendarr it’s Fredas.
