If game time cards don't count I'm going to be pretty pissed off, since Zenimax have not only managed to make paying for a recurring subscription impossible for me (trying to set one up just takes money off me and gives me no game time) but they also flat out refused to do anything about it when I contacted customer support.

I'm fairly certain game time cards will count as a subscription... It will probably just be a measure of how long your account has been "active" - whether through a recurring subscription or time-card renewal.

It would be extremely asinine to differentiate between game time card players and recurring subscription players.

Same here.

Most MMOs I played had such a similar system but it was more about being subbed at a specific date like the anniversary or before a new patch.

I find it sad that people complain again, after all many said they wanted to be treated good if they are loyal and now they get something and its again not right.

Been in a few games that have time played/loyalty rewards, most of them are pretty mild at the low lvl time played amounts, but when it gets to the 1k or higher rewards that's when the fun toy's always get released for long player members.

Agreed. I kinda hate the pets that already exist and wish they didn't.

Hey ZOS, I have an idea. How about you give loyal customers that stayed subscribed since early access a magic bow that you can use to shoot people's monkey pets?

Make it so they get put on a cooldown and that person can't re-summon them for 5 minutes.

I would PAY you for that. *&%^$ those monkey pets.

I almost cancelled my sub on several occasions just because of that obnoxious (*&^%ing thing.

If they wanted to reward us for continued subs, I think cosmetics are in order. But not vanity pets. They are starting to get numerous (please don't devolve into pokemon...).

We have mudcrabs, dogs, monkeys and more. I think we have enough. But what about costumes or horse armor....I just don't want pets becoming a problem.

What's lore-unfriendly about a summoned ice wraith?

From UESP:

"Spirits native to Skyrim, Ice Wraiths are traditionally hunted by young Nord warriors as a rite of passage, so that they may claim full status as citizens. Their fast speed and near-transparency makes them a tough challenge in numbers."

They're just not the type of creature that are domesticated and kept as pets. Compare them to the other pets currently in the game (wolfhound, mudcrab, scuttler, guar, scrib, monkey, and pig) and they just feel off.

Compare them to Clannfears, Scamps, Winged Twilights, Dwarven Spiders, Senche, Guar, Nix-Hounds... suddenly not so off, if you ask me.

Sure, Nords hunt Ice Wraiths as a rite of passage, and they're a tough challenge "in numbers," but this is also a challenge intended for adolescents. Even so, what we can expect to get is a miniature version of an Ice Wraith that can't even be bothered to attack things. Hardly the vicious creature Nords are accustomed to.

With time (and magic) anything can be domesticated.

Lol, loyalty program without cash discount is completely meaningless.

Give 50c discount for every 2 month sub, with a cap at $8-10/mo, now we are talking.

Best reward I can think of would be an option to make pets invisible.

I have been asking for this for over 2 years, at the first note of pets appearing in ESO. Its annoying me beyond belief and does completely mess with my immersion.

Dogs I could accept, even tho they just bluntly watch their masters in combat, but Icewraith miniature following people in deserts? Seriously? What comes next, santas little helper pet?

More forced grouping content will have me passing on the loyalty. I could care less about having a toy whatever following me across Tamriel.

Does introducing a loyalty program say something about subscription numbers? I dunno.

I'm all for it, while people may complain about their 'immersion' seeing ice wraiths everywhere, the same can be said about any of the pets, so eh. It would be good to reward those who stick with ESO, I'm personally kicking myself for not playing the beta (didn't want to spoil anything).. The monkey will haunt me forever.

You do know you only need the code right?

Just because i had sign in for them , i got like 3/4 codes , hell only last month i tried one , still got the monkey :P.

So really , just get a code.

This is basically the exact same thing that FFXIV and The Secret World have done.

The program is pretty popular in FFXIV, w/ continuing rewards for those who maintain a subscription.

But hey, it's the internet, of course people will complain about people giving them essentially free gifts out of appreciation.

Agree, pets are useless and as they still take up valuable inventory space along with trophies and disguises, not only do I not have any conceivable use for them but I've got no room for them either. Give us something we can use - like expanded inventory

wow they offer a reward program after people complained and unique items to people who have sub'd and will continue to sub and people *** and find something wrong with this. lol a lot of these comments just goes to show that no matter what some of you will never ever be happy with this game, not matter how much you say if they fix this, or give me this, etc that you'd be happy then. In all honesty you will never be happy with anything they do for this game there will always be something for some of you to hold onto and gripe and complain about
