I want to play like ZOS advertised, play MY way. That was a marketing lie. I can't play my way because it simply does not work. I started a Nightblade and wanted to be a stealthy bow sniper. Yeah. I tried playing other ways, and yes, when I turned to a popular build that everyone uses for my NB, I rocked, I was able to kill things, I could survive. But that's NOT MY STYLE OF PLAY. I hated it and the abilities.
So as a result of wanting to play MY way, I can't complete the game or advance beyond 48. I am not happy. Just insert here a TON of really bad language directed toward ZOS. I mean just think of the absolute WORST you can dream up and that's what im saying right now to ZOS and their design staff.

My kajit is medium, bow user, I have no problems questing at all. My bow kills most mobs before stun wears off (from stelth) turning any 2 mob fight into a 1v1 poison arrow stops any wind up attack off enemy and mark target gives me a huge heal.

My thoughts, Shelf, Never delete. A couple patches from now your build may have become the FoTM, topping DPS Charts, healing whole groups with 1 button plus tanking the whole instance in 1 pull, WHILE looking like a smexy SOB in your Medium armor. Now, that character, that Entity, is with Sithis, chilling in the void.
I feel for your pain and frustration, don't understand your rash behavior though.6 -

umm if you haven't even gotten to veteran content stamina bow build should be fine. It was for me. Sounds like you just suck. You are playing a difficult build, skill is required.
Medium armor is decent, it's heavy armor that sucks.
Anyway, rage quitting is an option so enjoy that.

kitsinni✭✭✭✭✭Dude you just were not good at the game. You can very much play a stealth NB bow user, not only are they good at PvP but the PvE is really easy as one. You just spent to much time on the forums the whole staff thing is only relevant to trials you don't in any way need that for leveling especially under
Oh and I did it all as a NB bow user in medium before any of the NB buffs. I did all those guild quests, mannimarco and Molag Bal.3 -
Jennifur_Vultee✭✭✭✭✭Sorry but I don't see how ESO in its current state is hard...it used to be hard but not anymore. ESO used to be a challenge but its been nerfed to death because of how many people thought it was...hard. I guess it wasn't nerfed enough for your taste, sorry but the fact is its too easy now. Pre-nerf I struggled to free Abner Tharn from Mannimarco, I struggled to defeat Mannimarco but post nerf I was done with both in a few minutes. Pre-nerf Doshia was beast that would shred you, now she rolls over for belly rubs and a cuddle by the fire purring softly.
If you thought all that was hard pre-nerf VR solo questing generally resulted in me dying at least once an hour if not more because of how tough the mobs were. Rather than rage quit maybe you should take a good long, hard look at your build and see what is working and what isn't then rebuild it carefully to play how you like without resorting to a robe and stick. I have yet to play any character that I haven't found a way to make work in PVE. My current character test build is a Nightblade tank in full heavy armor with sword and shield that flips to restoration staff to heal others because frankly the build is so strong and self healing from Nightblade skills/Vampires Kiss armor that I rarely need healing or die.

His prob playing said character right this second, probably still dying because he makes poor choices and blames the game for his own mistakes.

You do not have to play by my or anyone else's way, no one was saying you did. I too hate fotm and the 'best build'. I asked what you were using, and what you were open to in your build. The answer could have been as simple as 'I like these abilities because of this reason," if you had responded, we could have had dialogue. And that's just advice, it is your choice to take it or leave it. But instead, you deleted your toon.
All this during a rebalancing phase of the game.
You obviously were not going to hit endgame for a while yet, so there was no real need for a fotm build. You don't HAVE to play one way as a NB. You dont HAVE to use a specific rotation or hit certain skills systematically.
So I'm sorry you deleted him, I truly am. One more nightblade turned off the game...

Cyberdown✭✭✭op wanted to play their own way AND be the best and most OP class in the game.
Nothing is stopping you from being a stealthy NB bow character other than the fact you demand to be over powered versus other player.

I completely agree.its just stupid to blame zos for his own mistake by going with a complete random and poor skill build after having 3 pages of advice to try.
not the first person either to complain about the solo quests.
gets no pity from me because of that.
first encounter can be a problem for some, however, most people should understand after a death or two they need to try it differently, try different skill or two that might help better in the situation. imo most of the solo quests is a bit too easy.

I played Oblivion & Skyrim, I loved those, I made my char a stealthy bow using covert type and had no issues playing it and 'winning' the game. I tried to do the same here. I can't 'win' I cant even play. Im so happy that everyone else is a much better player than I am, yall go on and take your best cookie cutter builds and look down on those of us choosing to play outside your box.
I hoped and believed ZOS when they made all their hype about the game. I am vastly disappointed.

They said that because a DK is a brainless build that just facerolls through content without having to think about what you are doing and what your skills are compared to what you are fighting against.
I have a VR10 DW/NB. I have had very few issues getting through 1-VR9 content and no issues getting through the current content either.
Yes, I have had my butt handed to me more times than I would like to count. Yes, I have gotten frustrated at hitting a wall. Instead of crying and walking away, I looked for ways to address the issues I was having. Different Skills, better armor, whatever. And then I went on to beat that content and continue with the game.
You, when you hit that wall, instead of re-evaluating which skills you are using, or which type of armor you are using, or even what armor sets you are using, you did a rage quit.
Yes, you CAN win with a stealth bow using NB, you just do not want to take the time to set up which skills work best for each situation in order to do so.
You want to take what you want, regardless of how effective it is, and then expect to beat all of the content.
Guess what, that isn't going to happen. You will not be forced into a cookie cutter build, there are far too many options, but at the same time, you MUST deal with the fact that the skills you were trying to use where not working.

Anvos✭✭✭Just a thought but if you deleted your character you are the biggest reason why you can't play the way you want.
Also play the way you want doesn't mean you should be able to throw together a string of weak abilities an expect to steam roll things.
PvE solo play is already too easy especially once you reach vet level.2 -

My advice, play a DK, wear a dress and wield a stick, and become a vampire. I don't think you are suited to classes/builds that are challenging. The above will allow you to roll everything without any sort of skill.Dear Sister, I do not spread rumors, I create them.1 -

Full Medium and Bow tears new as#holes in your enemies faces. If it's not, you;re doing it wrong. Stack Crit, Weapon Dmg and Armor Pen, I hit just over 2k with Lethal Arrow. 2072* is my max against a player.
If you combo Lethal Arrow with Light Attack (animation canceled) and Venom Arrow, you can make all three skill's hit simultaneously for > 3k damage.
