At least for the short term campaigns the 30 day ones don't seem to have the same troubles. But regardless there should be a periodical reset of any of the campaigns. Especially if one faction controls everything for too long, lets say more than one campaign,Tintinabula wrote: »Maps should always be reset..gaming 101
I have two points I wish to discuss on this subject.
1. When a castle or resource is captured the guild ownership should be reset to unclaimed. I saw a castle get captured by 2 different factions today and the guild ownership didn't change. It just doesn't make sense to me that a guild that supports one faction can still be the owners when their faction no longer has control of the castle or resource. Also it will force guilds to defend their lands if they wish to keep them AND it will allow other guilds a chance to get one of the prime locations. As it stands now the first ones to claim them still hold them to this day regardless of which faction controls it or won the campaign.
2. Castles and resources should be reset at the end of the campaign otherwise we get the situation like we have in the 7 day campaign on the NA server. One faction controls everything and the other 2 cannot get out of their starting areas. The players in the controlling faction cant get alliance points because there is no one to fight. Also since the they can't get out of the starting zone there is noway for anyone else to become emperor.

People wanted the persistent world feel like DAOC and Planet Side 2 where what you do or accomplish matters until enemy players take action to change it.
Stop looking at the campaign score, winning a campaign is only like a small bonus and all you get is gold. The real reward is winning on the map for the bonuses that effect your character power and AP income. This can be done at anytime during a campaign regardless of the score. The moment you start resetting the map people stop caring and stop trying. And its not gaming 101, that's actually the mistake new MMOs started making.

Guild ownership of a keep should definitely be cleared if the keep is captured by another alliance; that's why guild have alliance affiliation. This must be a bug.

Never claimed a keep but the option is always there just after I helped take one (after the regular visit to the QM for camps/sieges) I can claim it, but never bother to. Unless it is after you click the claim option in dialogue box, then it must be a bug.

I get the option to claim but after I click it I'm told it is not possible. Because it is already claimed.
That shouldn't be possible actually, as only players in the same alliance as the guild's chosen affiliation should be able to claim keeps for that guild (ie, an AD player in a DC guild cannot claim an AD keep for their guild).Guild ownership of a keep should definitely be cleared if the keep is captured by another alliance; that's why guild have alliance affiliation. Yeah this sounds like it is either a bug, or like some guild decided to make a Keep their RP "home" and have people active in all alliances laying claim to it after every siege (possible, but unlikely).
