So, VR14 coming. Max level of items will be increased. All your base are belong to us now...erm, i mean we all will have to craft new gear. All your WAXes and ROSIN's are wasted into the abbyss.
So, lets get this complain train started.
P.S. Me personaly think there is nothing wrong with gear getting stronger over time and the fact you have to keep working in order be on top.

✭✭You will get some of those legendary mats back when you recycle the armor/weapons. I've deconstructed custom made suits before and I've always received at least half or more of the tempers that I used to create it.19 -

Not half per piece, but enough to start crafting another set. At least you don't lose everything...

Drigr✭✭Eh, it's the risk you take with being bleeding edge. I don't want them to set a precedent for refunding upgrade materials cause better gear came out. People in full legendaries will get to be bleeding edge until the next upgrade, that's how it is. You can either hold onto the mats forever in fear that when you use them the set will be obsolete, or you can use them and enjoy your time at the top. When the next tier comes out, everyone will have to start over together, and those that don't, either save their mats (and were behind you for this tier) or prepared for the future better.9

What say you have 9-11 gold item, and you decon them all, you get 9 gold item back, and not all of them the same...Assuming you have 3/3 for the reduce temper cost abilities and all your armor and wep are gold, you would have used 72-88 gold tempers to make your stuff not including any purple/gold quality enchants you may have used, so right now you only recovered enough tempers for one piece of wep/armor upgrade, assuming you use 7/7 heavy armor and melee weapons. So it is a huge lost right there for many people, and gold tempers are anything but common and cost anywhere between 2.5-5k gold each.4 -

We aren't going to get our mats back, part of the entire point of a "Gear Treadmill" is to keep your Mats on low supply to force you into an economy.

I on the other hand have been hoarding mats nicely cos I knew this was gonna happen and i'll make a killing on selling mats at the vastly inflated new gold levels. 5k per on Euro server now

Xeres14✭✭✭I'm not in this situation but tbh, this is a legit complaint. I am doing the same thing - saving my legendary mats for max level. And I'd be mighty annoyed if I crafted and subsequently upgraded to Legendary status because I was VR12.
So when I hit max level (no matter what it is at that time) I'm probably going to wait a while. Who knows when ZO will pull the rug from under your feet.0 -

Thx to Giny, Sarana, Thaili, Derra, Cherahim, Gloy, Raweelz and Drimacus, you make the game worth playing even with AoE-caps, no usefull progression past Assault / Support Rank 10, and with PvP being not even close to balanced.

Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.2 -

✭✭8 trait craters should have the ability to improve crafter gear to higher levels.
An other solution would be to allow the players to deconstruct 7 legendary armor pieces and 3 or 4 legendary weapons and recover all the legendary upgrade mats they used.2 -

HALF? HALLFF? You are way off. I'm not sure the % chance on getting back a crafting mat back with 3/3 in the relevant skill, but just to guess it seems to be about 50%. So for 7 pieces of armor that is 56 legendary mats used and you will get back anywhere from 3-4 legendary mats. Half of 56 is right around 4 so yes you were right.You earned the 500 LOLs badge.

Have you upgraded them? Ranks 2 and 3 are where you get more of the good stuff.

OMG..NO. Why do people keep saying this. ZoS has stated that VR ranks will be removed after the 3rd phase of champion system being introduced. It was stated that everyone would be lvl 50 after it was all said and done. Here is the exact quote from jessica folsom:
"Once the champion system is completely in place, VR levels will be gone, so yes it'll just be level 50 and you will expand into the champion system."

✭✭I understand increasing the lvl cap with expansions. It's the nature of the beast with MMOs. I also appreciate the effort Zos is making to keep fresh content rolling off the press. But raising the lvl cap right now is kinda crazy.
I finally just turned VR 12 on my main about a week ago. I had been saving purple and gold materials for that special moment when I finally hit VR 12.
I depleted my savings using 56 wax, 16 resin and 8 tempers to make a full set of gear and 3 weapons. Not to mention the purples and blues. Then I bought 10 Kutas and had a friend craft me 10 legendary glyphs for all that gear.
So that's 90, yes 90 legendary components I used to make a set of gear I have been saving for and looking forward to since launch. I was so proud of my new set. I felt like a rock star.
Then I come here a few days later and find out it was an absolute waste. I'm all for lvl cap raises every year or so. But every few months? That's just crazy.
