My vote would actually be indifferent. I am not opposed to level increases. But I think these are too close together.

I think the majority of people complaining about the increase to VR14 aren't complaining so much because they didn't expect level increases to happen, but with the pace at which they are coming.

We went from VR10 to VR12 and now VR14 within the span of a few months. Instead of these short increments, perhaps each adventure zone should have one level increase throughout the zone. For example, when the next adventure zone comes out, instead of breaking it down into VR16 and VR18, they should just do the cap of VR18 all at once. That way people won't feel like they are being forced to waste materials all the time to have the armor sets they want for max level.

Anytime you spend a lot of time getting the best armor you can and another tier or season of armor comes out that you have to work for all over again, it can feel like you've wasted your time. Having the seasons so close together just makes it worse.

So, in summary, VR increases are good for the over all health of the game but the pace at which we are getting them needs to be slowed down.

    I'm strongly against this.

This is the 3rd time in under 6 months then, that I have to re-craft my gear. Legendary upgrades are a joke with the VR-cap rising so fast.

I also don't like, that the game goes more and more into the direction of being a "grind-fiest" .

Thx to Giny, Sarana, Thaili, Derra, Cherahim, Gloy, Raweelz and Drimacus, you make the game worth playing even with AoE-caps, no usefull progression past Assault / Support Rank 10, and with PvP being not even close to balanced.

I don't care about the ranks. I care about the gear becoming less than best with every expansion. It leads me to never want to craft a legendary set, and instead just hoard all my rare mats. Eventually, I will get sick of the endless treadmill and stop playing. And all they had to do was give us a way to increase the level of our gear.

    Meh...
I'd have preferred the Champion change instead. My highest is VR6 and another at VR2. I've done all alliance zones multiple times now. Cant find a good grouping guild to save my life so i wont be visiting Craglorn or Cyrodill... kinda at a stand still right now, even started playing Everquest again...

I like it that ZOS has extended the veteran ranks again, because it puts us on notice once and for all that ZOS intends this to be just another top-heavy grindfest of a game, where a few immortal godlike elites will dominate everything, where the majority of the players, who just want to enjoy the story and have a deeper experience, are treated like so much garbage. Meanwhile, the problems go unfixed.

Yeah, I know, sour grapes. But it is what it is. Shame on this company for going in this direction.

Sounds like you should have pressed "Dislike" instead then.

Look up the word "irony" in the dictionary.

I don't get it, so you voted like just so you could post the opposite to set up being ironic? It's ironic that you like it since you don't like it? Sounds more nonsensical and confused than ironic.

You're just part of a bigger number in a poll, there's no sarcastic like option.

I will vote whatever way I please, and assign whatever meaning to it that I please. If you don't understand or appreciate the meaning of "irony" then I pity you. You may or may not agree or approve, but that doesn't matter to me in the slightest.

I'm glad ZOS has done this because this exposes their real intent. One can "like" something for a variety of non-literal reasons and for a variety of non-literal purposes. If that's too subtle for you or violates your sense of rightness, well, that's just too bad. Sometimes things just aren't in tidy little packages, are they? Such a shame.

    Have a nice day. :-)

I have never seen an MMO that increased the level cap so frequently. I do expect to have to upgrade my gear periodically, but as often as we have to do it here seems like a bit too much.

I'd have liked to see an 'Other' option in your POLL.
But given the choices we had....

I do agree with lvl cap increasing BUT I don't agree that that should happen more than once every 6 months !

I dislike this change because I am finally about to hit VR12. I was excited to start pvp and Craglorn (if I can find a group). Now I will have to worry about leveling again in group content since I have finished all of the single player stuff.

I would not mind the group content if it was possible to actually find a group but that is a discussion for a different thread.

You can't even begin to compare the gear changes here to gear changes in other games. The gear changes here are barely even changes it is the same exact gear with slightly different stats, set sets, same bonuses .. nothing new at all.

oh, but yesterday I hit veteran rank 6 and got a nifty outfit as a sort of congratulatory gift. I don't look very nice in it, but it's the thought that counts, ne?

This is why the rapid increase to VR level is negative.

Vet zones are empty. Craglorn barely has any active players doing anything but buying and selling stuff. Up the cap, the players flood the new zone and abandon the old one... again. Devalues the old gear, devalues the old instances because they drop old gear, and the old quests because you can progress even further beyond their difficulty.

Even if you want to do it all, you have to go it alone. I'd love to go back and finish Caldwell's Gold, but being forced to solo it because every zone is empty is just plain antisocial behavior in what is supposed to be a social game. What good is an MMO if you're completely alone 95% of the time? Thus I just keep up with the bulk of the playerbase at end game and when I feel like being antisocial I'll dip back into the old VR zones for an hour or so, occasionally passing by the odd solo player who's likely enjoying the crap out of having the zone almost entirely too themselves.

I don't see any significant issues if ZoS will continue to increase the vet rank cap every 3-4 months(major update).
I presume the time period between each vet rank increase can be changed due to subscribers feedback.
Also, The champion system and upcoming changes might slow down the veteran rank cap increase over time, so it may be too early to be discussed.

undecided since I see good and bad. Overall I have no issue with new level caps. Normally I quite enjoy increases, but it depends on a number of factors. The issue I have with the veteran level increase in this game is more about veteran levels then any actual increase. For me level cap increases normally involve more then new levels. Often it is around expansions etc, where the increase includes new abilities, significant stat changes, etc.

In this game there is a definite lack of feeling that my toon is growing significantly as veteran levels increase. No real stat changes, no new abilities, just very minor increase overall. Right now going from 12-14 will feel like a lot of xp/vp(whatever you feel like calling it) for a miniscule overall change to my toon.

Add in the need to gather crafting mats to turn new gear into legendary, once again for a pretty minor overall improvement and I feel a little underwhelmed. I would have been happier if the new craglorn simply offered some new dungeons, trials, gear etc without the increase to level 14.

I would be far happier if they put off level increases until it also included new abilities/significant change to existing level toons

the reason v14 is coming out so close is because everyone was complaining about v levels being lame so they decided on a new system the champion system, in the meantime while they work on that and get it rdy for release they decided to bring out the v14 earlier than they expected so people would have something to do while they wait. now everyone's losing their *** over this and its hilarious.

But if they knew most didn't like the veteran system, and plan to remove it soon, why expand it now? There's nothing about this patch that needed a level cap increase.

They already had it pretty much done when people started complaining instead of scraping it and making them wait till champion comes out the release it. It's not a big deal really

Here's a link to June 16 when people find it the levels were going to 14. People knew 14 was already coming but with such an outcry of people saying the leveling was too harsh and took forever blah blah, they came up with a new idea.

In short, two more veteran levels to struggle, that means four vet levels that can be achieved in Craglorn by grouping. Since normally it takes ages to find a group for questing in Craglorn (that means rapid questing, without text reading, ambient enjoying or other single player "crap") i can see that i will stop playing around vet 11 because i cant level solo and i cant find a group either (and i hate grinding). Sure it remains Cyrodill, guess i will try to level there, even though I liked questing, reading the lines, listen to NPC voices (things that developers has ripped from me). Not to forget that phasing system block from the start any help that my guild mates (overleveled) want to offer me. So, now im not happy with the choice they did. However i will stay a little longer to see what close future bring.

I don't mind a level rise once a year, but twice in a few months is too soon.

I want to be able to get my gear and be able to use it for a few months before I have to go through that again.

Being a fan of PvP and not the fastest leveller, I have been looking forward to hitting V12 so that I am at level with most the PvP crowd.

Many of them will get to 14 in hours, leaving me and many others a couple of levels behind for the next month or so.

If I then find as I am finally close to V14, it rises again to V16, it will become pointless me trying. If these two rises in quick succession are one offs and are not setting the tone for the future, then while I don't like it, I can live with it.,

I don't like this level cap increase at all. For most PVP players this is just another unnecessary gear and level grind fest that brings nothing in return. I assume most current VR12 probably reach the new level cap within a week, and that increases the gap between new players and veteran rank players even more...and that gap is already a huge one.
