Question for anyone that has used a bow sorcerer

Which CC should I use? encase or scatter shot? or should I use both? or should I just use crystal frags like iv seen people suggest? I just made this character and can't seem to figure out which to use.

FunkheaD✭✭✭I've found Magnum shot is particularly useful in kiting foes. Knocks them back, knocks me back and lets me continue casting.0 -
Armann✭✭✭I use both, move into Encase range on a cluster of mobs, then fire off Scorched Earth, Restraining Prison and then Lightning Flood. Stannum✭✭✭✭is bow your single weapon?
I use bow with my sor only for single bosses so I have magnum shot in my build. And I don't use bow bar to wipe out clusters of mobs as there are more effective ways to do it.Edited by Stannum on August 19, 2014 8:57AM0 -
I've lvl'd at bow/dw sorc to VR12. I have played around with every cc available to the sorc. I found the best method is using Bombard. Typically vs any group of mobs I will rotate Bombard with Lightning Flood. Against elite mobs that can't be CC'd, your options are Bolt Escape and/or Magnum Shot.0 -

this character is only level 6 right now, I plan to make a secondary weapon. its, as much as I hate to say it, going to be one of the staffs(:()im leaning toward restoration, as I plan to make this character a small skirmish/1v1 type of build, and don't see the point in getting zergpulse(impulse. hehe). idk yet though. I have yet to decide. sounds to me like magnum shot sounds like the better choice, though encase could be helpful if I DO decide to use impulse.... hmm.... ill think on it. oh, and "single weapon" like for bosses? its going to be my main weapon. im going to apply techniques I learned from other Archer character and see how it goes.

For quick wiping mob clusters sorc have lots of good class AoE skill (liquid lightning, blast, daedric curse) but you need to keep mobs together to do it effectively (encase helps but not allways) and when you use ranged weapon mobs will spread melee will run to you mages&archers would keep in a distance. If you will use resto secondary may be good idea would be run into a mob cluster then daedric curse-encase-liquid lightning while blocking but the problem is that you have no good instant spammable AoE attack with resto (and bow bombard is acute angle attack and will not cover all cluster when you are in).NookyZooky wrote: »dancing.in.the.webeb17_ESO wrote: »is bow your single weapon?
