Chillrend EU: Thanks folks :)

Wanted to thank all the players in the EU Chillrend Campaign for a lot of fun and good atmosphere. Although I dabbled previously with PvP I've only really taken it seriously in the last month or so and am just beginning to feel I'm getting somewhere. So especial thanks to DC players for the friendly play, congratulations to EP on their comeback in the last few days, and much admiration for AD who although outnumbered have never given up.

Yes. Thank you smurfs for your dedication to not sleeping and capping all of the keeps overnight, it has made for a fabulous AP farming experience across the past couple of weeks, getting me from First Sergeant to Major in no time at all.

Good job all round.

Edit: In all seriousness I have probably had my best PvP experience so far on Chillrend. Virtually zero lag, friendly play (regular cross-faction whispers of 'good fight' or 'want to duel?' - which I found refreshing). Some really great defences where we (AD) were vastly outnumbered and DC were desperately trying to take either Black Boot or Bloodmayne and would either fail or it would take a number of hours. It has been fun.

well "Arena" Guild makes things better :-)

and if the smurfs would maybe stop the 5am capping (they actually did that 11 times of the 14 days) it would have been an awesome campaign. well at least they fed us like crazy during daytime.. ^^

I would only LOL @Thudunblundur because the smurfs overnight sessions just killed that campaign.

Half of the AD moved already more than a week now out of that campaign.
Enjoy a hollow victory, fighting the NPC wolves and goblins.

The night capping was both annoying and slightly ridiculous, but there were some AD left on the campaign and - for me at least - that made the fights all the more fun. We were vastly outnumbered by DC on numerous occasions, and defending one keep when the whole map is blue and DC still taking hours to achieve it was thoroughly satisfying.

Last Chilrend was great. I am blue and thats probably reason i dont see logic behind why u object that we are taking empty keeps. If we can do it - u can as well . Dont forget that at beginning Chilrend was all red and we faced a challenge. U have to organise yourself better instead of looking for excuses why we did it and u couldnt. Hope that new campaign will be more balanced and challenging. Make blues run for the money ( 4.5 k after all is good motivation factor

)

I've been enjoying Chillrend so far (as DC).

The only problem I have with it is, that every time DC crowns an emperor, he/she seems to leave the following day. What's up with that? If you want to do "emperor trading", just get the 2nd in line to get enough points, instead of forfeiting everyone else from having the bonus.

I think you are missing the point a bit!

I have enjoyed Chillrend thoroughly, but for a lot of members of my guild they have found it incredibly frustrating to log on to find the whole map blue. Typically the challenge is that you come online and you face players, instead the blues waited until there was minimum resistance (and you can't say there was resistance, because one night I stayed on late and was the only person attempting a defence).

When you log on and keep getting killed at the gate and have to claw back your few home keeps before even thinking about taking any scrolls or emperorship and even if you do achieve that, you know it's futile because the blue PvE group will be online in the night to reset it all back to blue, you quickly lose interest and it is completely understandable why. If you smurfs actually got some sleep and only fought when the majority of other players were online, more people would be attracted to the campaign!
