Nightblades: Bolt Escape "fix" to Invisibility.

Applying the Bolt Escape fix to Invisibility would improve Nightblades. They are currently overpowered. With the speed bonus from their favorite armor set, and their ability to go invisible at will allows them more escape cheese than Bolt Escape had before its nerf.

Every argument about nerfing Bolt Escape applies here, and those arguments won.

I am now asking for the nightblade ability that grants Invisibility to have an increased cost each time its re-cast.

This is also not a nerf, it is an improvement because the ability isn't being weakened. Nor are you prevented from using this tactic, it simply costs you more so that you can't just poof in and out with impunity.

    You are one smart fella.

A set bonus interacts with a Nightblade ability to give them an overpowered escape tool. Lets nerf the class, not the set bonus! Sounds good bro.

Now the rest of us who don't use the set (most of us) can just suck it I guess.

    Cool.

The Invisibility, even without the Set Bonus is unchecked and unregulated and no ability should let you escape every time guaranteed and make crits + stuns with every attack, just pop back invis, gone, and hit again.

This Fix, even with the Set Bonus would make that cheapness a hinderance to do, and would justify not nerfing the Set Bonus which is great for everyone.

I don't even use Dark Cloak in PvP because it barely ever works. It is a very buggy ability and I would much rather have Fear or another survival skill on my bar.

When I fight Nightblades, I either have Magelight equipped, or Piercing Mark equipped, or quickslot a detection potion. And not surprisingly, I have no problem killing them. I probably kill Nightblades easier than any other class.

Countering Invisibility really isn't hard... The set bonus is creating an imbalanced ability, but thats all... Dark cloak by itself is nowhere near as powerful as Dragons Blood or Blazing Shield.

    1. It works greatly, you just pop out with no cost. Its like using a potion except you didn't lose a potion. The only other skill that lets you escape was already nerfed, by the way.

    2. Yet another pathetic Ad Hominem attack. I also use Detection Potions and Inner Light. This is sauce of the weak mind, and is just a Red Herring Fallacy.

How about players just learn to counter moves like this instead of constantly asking for nerfs every time a class has an advantage in a certain situation.

I know exactly what you are talking about because I PvP 95% of the time I am playing this game, but I still don't think it needs nerfed. Nightblades are in no way overpowered. They have a great burst attack from stealth (which they should) and that's about it. Just block their initial attack, throw mage light on, track them down, and kill them easily.

As far as the sneaking away constantly, that is more of a combination of the vampire + 5 peice armor trait than simply being a nightblade. Any class could pull that off if they wanted to...

    ...

Night's Silence set doesn't activate with Nightblade invisibility. The set only activates with Sneak, which is available to all classes.

Nightblade moves at regular running speed in invisibility; with Concealed Weapon slotted they move slightly faster than regular running speed, but not as fast as Sprinting speed.

Stop using cliche idiom's like you know what you are talking about. When you post a debate, expect criticism. The irony of you yourself actually distracting from your own thread by complaining about something someone said is actually a fallacy of it's own.

Looks like someone just learned about Ad Hominem and Red Herring. Sadly, you were so excited to use the terms, you haphazardly misused them to hilarious effect. Maybe next time, junior.

we nightblades die at the drop of a hat. our only protection is invisibility which doesnt even work properly and doesnt even last 3 seconds per cast which we can only cast At Most about 4 -or 5 times IF we have lucky enough to escape which most the time we dont.
if anything our invisibility needs to be increased to atleast 30 seconds per cast.
targeting us nightblades is realy not good idea. please donttarget us nightblades, we allready are the weakest class in the game doing the least amount of damage and the least survivability.
ofcourse i am speaking about us duel wield and longblade or duel wield and bow users - just to be clear - the robe or light armor wearing staff user nightblades are not whom i refer to, only the afore mentioned duel wield, bow user, longblade types is whom i refering to.
please, i ask kindly to not target our invisibility skill to have it removed or decreased or in any way altered unless to fix it to work properly and add great length of time increased to a minimum of 30 seconds per cast.

    This times infinity.

ITT we whine and complain because we are either too unimaginative or inept as players to figure out how to defeat the weakest class in the game using an evasive maneuver that works infrequently at best.

It's clear that you're trolling at this point or you have very little understanding about how the nightblade invisibility actually works.

What, did you not get slapped around enough from this thread where you embarrassed yourself? http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/126426/nerf-nightblade-invisible#latest
