It did exist in another MMO and think it would work well here too. I think it would be nice to be able to access my character sheets and stats and view them online. This would be for times I am unable to play.

✭✭✭✭✭I don't know if looking at my character's stats when I am not playing would do me any good.
But, to be able to manage my Crafting Research would be so sweet. I think I have a space opening up this afternoon, but it won't be until tonight that I am going to able to start research. Then again, at 6 days and 9 hours (discount from 7 days) a few hours won't matter than much really. Yep, while not in-game you can strategize your character build, and just to be able to be "playing" the game while not in-game.0 -

I second, third, and fourth this. Online access to user stats would be grand. The one (other mmo) I've used was quite extensive. One could retrieve any player character by selecting faction/server punching in username, and get the specs and load-out.. two stats I think maybe best to be left out though, are total playing time and amount of deaths (sooo confrontational, haha).
Anyhoo, yeah, more hands for online charater stats, please.1 -

+1 This would be a great feature. In fact, give us a RESTful API and the community will build it for you - not to mention iOS and Android apps to help make the game go viral!
Privacy should be part of it, and erring on the side of privacy is good. This doesn't need to be Facebook/Google and auto-errol everyone into some public view. But if people want to make their characters public, they should be allowed to. I can imagine some pretty cool RPG guilds taking advantage of this in some fun ways.
As to the elites and power players, they do what they do anyway whether it's hard or easy. I heard someone in public chat the other day shouting how they could help people level to 50 in a week. What's adding an API going to do other than maybe shave a few hours off what they are already doing.0 -

I'm not ashamed to admit that I was wrong. There probably was a bit of discrimination during the first few weeks / months that the data was available, but I haven't heard of any lately.
And if those elitists really want to inspect me to determine if I'm good enough to be in their illustrious company, well....I'll pass thanks, and happily spend another few hours looking for another group.0
