Yes, included with real magelight and real usable torch, i would like to have adjustable ambient light for night and certain locations like dungeons.

Some places are properly dark when i tone brightness and various settings on monitor down but it is bad solution. It darkens everything.

sliders for various places would be welcome addition or opening lightning to modders so they can create realistic lightning mods.

When playing a game, I prefer to see where I am going. I don't need "realistic" darkness in a game. I have been in some real caves, not an environment I would ever want to game in.

Sometimes there's too much light, like in the desert. It is very hard to see the cursor when using a bow. The cursor should be visible in any light or background.

yes, would be great to have true areas of darkness, in the depths of dank dungeons, on moonless nights in the wilds. natch they would have to put in some sort of lighting ability, like 'torch' actually give off good light and be easily used.

to be honest this will never be implemented, just look at what lord of the rings online did with lightening the tunnels of moria after many complaints of players running off cliffs due to the darkness, and that was with built in torches on mounts.... lol

still, a slider would be much appreciated for those who would like this

I found gamma levels 14-18% perfect to represent night (and dark inside areas) properly and daylight actually looks better (no whitewash).

Have to agree with @Nestor here- my preference is visibility but I can appreciate others lean towards realism.

One thing to keep in mind, most monitors are in Torch Mode (100% brightess) out of the box. Most gaming modes I have seen are close to this brightness. If you think things are too bright, then try calibrating your monitor, at least with the Gray Scales and that will make things darker for most people. You will be in the 50% brightness/50 to 70% contrast range most of the time after calibrating. The last value will depend on if and how much you can adjust your Black Levels.

Use one of these images to make the adjustment under the lighting conditions you usually play under
