Guild Traders? Some say a guild has it, some say that I can bid on it?

Hello, I am curious why this is happening.

I am currently looking to get a guild trader again, but seems some show it is claimed by a guild... and some say it can be bid on for next week?

Some show guild tabards, and some do not.. kinda figured the ones without the guild just never got one yet...

Last week we had a nice trader and got lots of sales from it.. this week this morning all the ones I checked are taken, or have the issue above...

Also, curious if there are a list or a map of places to go???

Also, some just don't have a guild trader.. but suppose to be a guild trader too... very odd...

If the guild hasn't set a tabard for itself the trader won't be wearing it.

You had two options for securing a trader this week:

1) Place a bid on the trader of your choice, large enough to beat out competition. Bidding lasts for one week, ends on Monday at 8am (maintenance) and the winning bid will have that trader for the following week, starting that Monday.

2) Log in as soon as the server comes back up and run around hoping to find a trader that was not bid on and buy it for a flat fee. If no one bids on a trader, they are available for hire immediately. This window is typically only the first 5 minutes after the server comes up. Basically a ESO version of musical chairs if you choose to participate in this way.

The reason some traders which host a guild store currently may not have a tabard is that the guild in question did not design one.

The reason you do not have a trader is because you did neither of the above options. You did not bid or failed to win your bid and you did not login in time to claim one for a flat fee.

We put a decent amount, but guess not big enough to get the one we had again.... but when I check the trader... some say there is a guild next to it.. and others is just blank... and now some just don't have the trader option available either... it's like the option was taken away from some of the traders...

There have been a couple of guilds (that I've seen in game anyway) that have today noticed that there are plenty of non-hired traders, but they aren't giving them the option to hire them.

Incorrect. Bidding on traders now is for securing them for next week. Unless you bid right before the server goes down, your current bid is never for the current week.
