Worst case scenario is that some Macs don't have a dedicated GPU to handle intense gaming. That only affects performance, not ability to play. A Mac with a dedicated GPU (any of the PRO models) will run ESO without any issues.

How much you want to spend on a computer has nothing to do with performance.

I had a problem with the launcher once and I realized that (of all things) it was my ISP causing the patch to not download properly. I managed to patch it fine at a friend's house. Haven't had that problem since (thankfully).

That ESO launcher is a strange beast indeed.
